Heres what I have so far, but I'll be the first to admit I have no idea what I'm doing. Any help would be appreciated.

My questions for you are these. What do you want to do with the tank? Make him tougher? Get more recharge? What are you hoping to be able to do with him? Etc.

Make him tougher, more recharge will go hand in hand with that as it will bring healing flames up more often, He definately has Blue issues that need to be addressed though I have started on them, I just have the strong feeling I'm not doing it efficiently.
I was playing him with generic IOs and while he was pretty tough thanks to taking tough, given enough incoming damage he would go down faster than an invuln, so some defense is called for too.
He has not been respec'd since health, stamina, run and jump became inherant and now that Burn is Back I want that back in his build.
Onething Ive noticed on higher end builds, they pare down the number of attacks they have based on how much recharge they have, so losing some attacks to flesh out defense recharge and stamina is doable. If he has enough recharge he might not need as many attacks.
He solos a lot so he still needs his single target attacks, but we can probably lose fire sword (does that attack bruise as well as scorch?) and possibly combustion, even though it's got better range than fire sword, it is slower, I kind of liked the idea that he would shrug off the incoming damage while it was powering up which feels tanker ish to me.
He never seemed to need taunt because of his damage aura, but with the choices freed up from the inherant health stamina etc it would be good to fit that in too even if its mostly a set mule
I liked the ability to taunt at a distance with his ranged attacks and fireball is a blast (pun intended) but the fiery epic set was actually taken in response to the Vanguard story arc missions where you had to take down the rogue vanguard agents, their wizards and rangers were carving me up (it also helps against sappers).
The ability to take one of them out of combat helped me (a little) Eventually I had to use amy's ward and any other temp power I had to get through them!
He will farm occaisionally but what I want is for him to tank for a full team as well as an invuln tank can and still dish out lots of damage.
Sort of like the army, I want him to be all that he can be.
My hassle is I'm not good at Mids at all, I'm clueless as to what is a good route to take to get him there.

I suggest you take a look at a few of the threads I found by searching the Tank Forums. They're all Fire/Fire tanks and approach things a little differently. Find a build in there that seems close to your liking and play with it a little in Mids. See if you can get closer to what you're wanting to do, and bring the build here. You'll even find my current build in one of those threads. If you haven't already, take a look at Grey Pilgrim's Guide: The Wall of Fire (Fire/Fire) and the Four Rules of Tanking

Ya my tank for my fire/fire tank is on one as well, btw u might want to up grade your mids to have the fitness pool be inherit powers instead of getting them. Also u might want to lose acro since it eats lot of end and u can compensate the KB pro with other IOs that can also help with your def. Taunt is very handy even with a fire tank I believe, I know there is some out there who dose not like taunt in certain builds but they do come in handy even if your soloing. Also it is fun to tank hami on my fire/fire tank.

Does the KB protection also help against holds?
I was in exemped in a sewer mish and was getting held by the eidolans, back then I had burn and could drop a patch to get out, but it was frustrating getting taken out of the fight.

KB protection is good for Kb. Burn will get you out of Immobilizes. Your mez protection power is Plasma Shield , which will help you against holds.

Here is my latest build. I built him to have a little more defense that my prior build. I went for Melee Defense instead of S/L because I had a lot of the IO's already, Currently I am taking him through the Incarnate stuff and I have had some good drops on him lately.

He can tank a lot of stuff but he does get hit hard at time. I always try to have the heal ready and a few greens on my. The heal does come up rather quickly.

I chose to go with more end management and removed the Pyre pool. That was also for concept reasons as well.

Here it is. I will not be including his Incarnate stuff because I cant see it cause the servers are down

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but here's what I threw together for ya.

The recharge is a little lacking, but the extra defense should mean you won't need Healing Flames quite so often. I worked on S/L and E/N defenses, since you resist 90% of Fire damage and Cold damage is actually fairly rare (it's gonna suck during the winter event though )

It's my pretty standard melee character template, you can use the same basic outline on just about any resistance based melee character and it will turn out roughly the same.

You could probably lose Maneuvers to fit in Consume if you like, but in my experience with Fiery Aura it's never up when I really need it to be, so I left it out.

I might try to fit Combustion in as well, it's a DoT power, which means it is an excellent agro getter/holder (funny how things don't like being set on fire). The DoT doesn't make the taunt effect last any longer (at least I don't think it does ), but the fact that you are still damaging them keeps you at the top of their threat meter.

Here's the build, it will probably be a little on the expensive side, but everything in it is obtainable with Hero Merits, except the Hami Os.

AAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!
Why do I suk so badly with Mids?!
For concept reasons I want to go with the energy epic, but there are several builds I like that use the Pyre, I copied them into mids but I cant figure out how to swap powers in and out.
I think I've got the choices power choices I want down, but now I need help getting things optimized.
My Chars name is Blue Streak

So you probably guessed what color his flames are!
I have the city traveler vet power so I can bypass the prerequisite travel power pick and can go straight to what I need, I am used to super jump as a travel power so I was thinking perhaps enough movement speed set bonuses would account for the streak part.
I could of course use SS as a power.
I have taken CJ, SL and Accro and basically am thinking that I can stick with that route, unless stf prots are a better way to go slot and power choice wise.

To Change the Epic, just use Alt+click to delete each power from the current Epic. When you have deleted them all you should then be able to select a different Epic/APP.

The slots and sets will remain unchanged until you put a new power in place. When you do, if the existing set is not valid for the new power, the slots will remain but automatically go empty.

There may be a better way but I can't be bothered keeping up with all the MIDS short cut changes when this is just about a reflex action for me now.

Hope that is helpful,
Jak
