((Ah... pvp.
What would make PvP interesting to me would be, you know those bank missions? I'd like it if instead of all of them being PvE that some of them were PvP. Such as, if a team of heroes goes into a bank mission at the same time as a team of villains, then instead of fighting Echidna (or whoever) you'd fight a player-driven character. And let it be random. Sometimes you might get trounced, sometimes you might roll over your opponent. But it would add an element of surprise to what has become a pretty rote part of the game.
Or maybe you could have like a reverse-pact where you choose another player's character as your arch nemesis. You could have missions where you are at cross-purposes and have to fight each other and compete to complete objectives (which one clicks the most glowies) and stuff like that.
But that's just my opinion. As far as the rest of PvP goes, myeh. But other people like it a lot, so I think the devs should continue to give PvP'ers new and exciting toys to play with.))
Heroid,
Once or twice that happened back when the arena first came out. It was completely a bug (we were supposed to be in the arena but zoned into a villain mission), but man it was *AWESOME*.
I think I recall Grae saying over chat that he or someone else had zoned into their mission and they were having a hell of a lot of fun duking it out for the time that remained. I was dying out of envy that day.
I personally found Warburg PvP to be the most fun, mainly because it was FFA yet still didn't have pseudo limitations of the arena. That being said, the only PvP I tend to enjoy in any MMO is FFA where I can kick any smartarse in the head and then take his wallet.
Xan told me to get over to Virtue so here I am
Heya guys! Zomg I saw a Rowrsie! and a bunch of other names from forever ago! DumpleBerry being one of em, Grae Knight, Xanatos of course.
Whats up you crazy lovable people you!
Last night, I ran into an old buddy (just resubscribed, and didn't know about F2P on the way) who my controller used to run with in the Bad Old Hollows, back around Issue 4 or so. He'd just finished respeccing for inherent Fitness, and I and another friend of his gave him a crash course in the Incarnate system.
You never know who'll pop up out of the blue, I guess.

The second time we zoned into a Skyway Mayhem mission. There was 8 heroes and 8 villains. They were quite a few levels lower than us but it was fun. This was before they gave us Safeguard missions.

So um, damn is Virtue dead these days? Board wise I mean. I used to post in this section of the forums and then try to find the post a minute later and it would already be on the second page.
I see (for me at least) this thread is still on the first page.

You dirty, cheatin, so and so.....
Ok not cheating so much but I can't help but notice just how easy it is to level now in the game. Especially when I think of how long it took to get the original TA to 40 back when that was the cap.

Good point, we might be able to legitimize our position and standing by posting two to three threads a day of the same stuff.
Was that what you were asking?

PvP... done it exactly twice in this game, neither of which was very fun. Nothing like being the magnet for everyone else. Yeah, no thanks, it's yet another reason why I don't do it.
Just wish the devs would do something about bases... but we all know that's a pipe dream, right?

What there in fact is, is a single thread per day (Which still- STILL- has absolutely no effect on anybody who doesn't look at the thread) and an extra thread to organize a peripherally-related in-game event.
Sort of like a supergroup will post a seperate thread for supergroup events instead.
