It works fine. You'll get pestered by UAC on occasion ("Are you sure you want this program to run?") but otherwise, generally no problems.
(Running since the win7 beta here.)
Only thing that springs to mind is that if you use Herostats you may have problems getting the overlay to stay on top of CoX when running fullscreen due to how Win 7's desktop compositing works.
Otherwise, it works just fine.

Windows 7 at base should not have much more running in background than Window XP or Windows Vista does.
Make sure to uninstall all the crapware/bloatware that the manufacturer thinks you need. If you're not going to use a program that came with the computer, remove it.
The method of uninstalling is a touch different in Win 7 than it is in XP. Open up the Control Panel from the Start Menu, then slide down to Programs and Features. Programs and Features is the equivalent of XP's Add/Remove Programs.

So i just got a new gaming lap top anything i should know about running CoH on 7? The launcher and game installed fine and seems to be running fine. Windows 7 seems to have a lot of stuff going on in the background and start up that im not familar with from my old Windows XP.
