Is paying more attention not a simple solution? Seriously, the recipes are color coded in your recipe window. How is that a difficult and grueling task? Is taking ownership of a mistake in a game that difficult for you? What's it like in the real world?

Here's a solution for the OP. As soon as possible after you get that purple recipe, email it to your global. Then its out of your inventory and you dont have to worry about accidentally deleting or selling it.

Are you insane? That's an intelligent responsible idea. What's wrong with you. Next you'll be suggesting he drop it in one of his market slots without setting a sales price.

This is coming from someone who has made the mistake. The difference is, I know it's my own fault when I make it. Don't blame a system that didn't force you to be hasty. And don't ask the devs to do more work because you're too lazy to pay attention.

The other problem with your suggestion, is that eventually, there will be a common or uncommon you want (there are plenty of useful ones out there) that you could potentially delete by accident. Then you'll just be back here complaining when you make the mistake again
Quality of experience trumps sorting through all the worthless stuff that accumulates in our inventories. the devs can add the QOL feature and have it default to off if value added improvements are such a big deal to you

I myself would want promps that adds value to the experience, the promps we have can't do that if it's always in the way with ever piece of garbage you ever encounter

As for deleting commons and uncommon you want so what they have values that make them inconsequential to buy again so you already know that argument is entirely invalid

Yes there is. There are actual problems and projects the devs have to work on. Your problem is one you created for yourself.

You chose to turn off the delete prompts.
You chose to rush thru deleting recipes from your inventory.
You chose not to pay attention to what you were deleting.

No I'm not. At no point anywhere in this thread have I ever said that your idea was near impossible to code. What I actually said was your idea is an unnecessary waste of time and resources, and the simplest solution to the problem you had was for you to pay attention to what you are deleting.
Even if those prompts were kept on and every user threw away all the time required to sort through each and every single recipe, and piece of salvage you would still have users who would want a better system so they do less of what they obviously don't enjoy so they can do more of what they actually do enjoy.

I do the time consuming sorting that you and that other guy seem to have hardons for and it sucks being the lesser of two evils isn't automatically a good option it merely better than an awful option so thumbs down way, way down

I'd much prefer to delete the eff out of everything and not risk losing something I really want so I can make more use of my playtime doing stuff that is fun

It takes at most 1 second to realize a recipe someone is thinking of deleting is purple and skip over it. If someone thinks 1 second is time consuming then this isn't the game for them. Hello Kitty Online is down the hall and on the left.

That's what I hear.

If you're not coming back with an adequate response to this:

Then you're just asking the devs to waste time on an unNEEDED item instead of more rewarding items for the playerbase.

In the real world I would set up measures like this all the same. The same way someone planning on drinking has someone hide their keys.

Yeah, it's a royal PITA
So not only are you too lazy to pay attention to what you are deleting, you are also too lazy to spare 2-3 seconds to check your recipe/salvage inventory and delete stuff during any one of the hundreds of pauses teams take between combats that occur in each and every game session so you don't have to go thru a whole list when the inventory fills up.

Why are we not surprised to hear that.

I don't know whether this specific suggestion is necessary but a cleaned up UI would not be a bad thing. I think calling the OP lazy and stupid is really overstepping. I'll never understand how people get so personally offended by the suggestions forum.

Concur.

And you know, this thread has reminded me why I keep my mouth shut so much of the time in this forum. Some people simply must be superior to the "lazy and stupid" people in the community. I'm not even involved in the discussion and I'm offended by the tone of some of the posts. Makes me wonder why I gave up ignoring posters years ago.

My first post in the thread was anything but personal. I even related that I had made a similar mistake (in the vendor window that doesn't even give you a prompt), and claimed that only I was responsible for that mistake.

It was the OP being offended that we weren't readily jumping on board with the suggestion. And when someone suggested he just pay better attention, his only sentiment was that he shouldn't have to pay attention. Now, your terms for laziness may be different than mine, but if you can't bother to pay attention, you're lazy.

Ironically enough, the OP can't take the time to look at the color of recipe in the window he's deleting from, but he can be bothered to respond every time someone disagrees with him on an idea meant to buy him more time (in seconds) that will never be implemented.

Even more so that the OP did not directly respond to you until your 5th post aside from stating that he did not believe that you understood what he was saying and that was directed toward more than just you.

I concede, he doesn't respond to EVERY single post. Regardless, he's certainly spending more time here than he would be if he took 2 seconds to pay attention.

Now, if you're trying to insist that my posts have been disproportional in "tone" to the OP, I don't think there's really a way to prove or disprove that. A tone you read could be completely different from that of the person's intent. But I would argue the OP has had equal "tones" to many of his responses.

All that aside, if you come into a forum and make a suggestion for change because you can't be bothered to pay attention, then any response calling you lazy is pretty accurate. Do take note, though, I never directly called him lazy, I only suggested he pay more attention and asked why paying attention was so grueling. Sorry if that comes across as being superior.

There is no need to respond to EVERY post. You would be on every thread you've ever been on repeating the same thing 20 times.

And that 2-3 seconds, in a vacuum yeah nothing. It's when it's ALL the time. Not pertaining to being lazy, but abhorridly annoyed and inconvenienced yes.

"if you're so inconvenienced then why bother playing"

Yes i'm sure there would have been a cynical response saying something along those lines. Obviously I love the game. This is just something that sticks in my side, so I'm suggesting that. Nothing more. If I wouldn't just get a simple "post it on the forums" email after sending in a petition ingame to get the Idea to the devs to consider, I would have done just that. I didn't need snide remarks, I was just getting the idea out there. It's ultimately up to the devs if they'll use the idea or not.

There is no need to get offended or call people lazy for a simple suggestion. Especially where, should they implement this, I'm sure even who "disagree" with it, would still enjoy not getting flooded by common recipes or like the option to specifically not delete purples etc. Even if you pay attention, mistakes happen. This would help to avoid certain ones.

I've only pointed out how your suggestion isn't necessary. To be honest, it's more of you raging because you deleted a purple recipe. Many of us have been there and not felt compelled to ask for dev time to be wasted to make sure WE don't make mistakes. Mainly, because there's always going to be room for you to make a mistake even in the suggestion you outlined. Maybe your suggestion would work for you, but then someone else will complain the prompt didn't work the way that THEY like.

The one prompt is enough. Your suggestion wouldn't be a good thing to implement for reasons stated throughout the thread. Sorry.

Now, if you want to suggest something like making Temp Power recipes something you buy from vendors and no longer drops, I'd jump behind that in a heart beat. If you want real clutter, it's that garbage*.

*It's garbage in my opinion, but I realize some people make use of it. Considering the number of people I've seen who complain about it, it doesn't seem so popular that making it a vendored recipe instead would break the game.

When someone repeatedly proclaims it's too much effort to look at what he is deleting and skip over the purple recipe then I think the term lazy is a fair assesment.

But your are free to disagree with my opinion.

If only you paid this much attention to your recipes instead of deleting them without looking at them.

No one called you lazy for making this suggestion. I called you lazy because you keep saying it's too much effort to pay attention to what you are deleting.

I definitely would disagree. I make a lot of influence off of selling common recipes.

This from a person who has now posted no less than 10 times on this topic. He doesn't like the UI. We don't need you to post in 20 point font or provide pictures of flowcharts to say that you don't like it. Calling him lazy just makes you look like a troll.

If the OP paid the same amount of attention to what he was deleting as he pays to this thread he'd never have deleted that purple recipe by accident.

If you spent 1/4 the energy you do trolling this topic on exploring your own ideas, you might have a suggestion to share.

My suggestion remains that the OP pays more attention to what is being deleted. Please feel free to disagree with it.

I'd second this in a heartbeat as well.

And Forbin, if you think the money you make off of common recipes is "a good amount". That's sad. Without those cluttering, you could get an uncommon likely at level 50 that if you crafted it youd sell for a few mil, versus the roughly 70k average for a common recipe. They sell crafted for like 500k tops, but cost 490k to make, and then there is the vendor fee.

There are FAR better chances of something better than commons.

On the same note, It would be nice if they didn't drop at all and were just vendor only like was suggested for the temp powers. I'd also go to say that for the special wings and costume pieces.

But, since you seem to like them dropping for you, I would never try to find a solution that would not work for everyone. Which is why I'm suggesting also the filter, to just not let commons for example even be able to drop for you.

It's just like when there used to be level 50 training enhancements that would drop, but as you see, they put a stop to that, so it's not like they don't see what i'm saying.
