1 raid teleporter.
1 SG mission computer.
Enough power & control to keep everything running.

You can, if I remember correctly, start the trial solo. You won't win, but I think you can start it.

theres 3 options:

plain reward merits

50% reward merits + random auto temp power based on original items of power (this option also awards the master thief/power liberator badge)

penumbra of rularuu incarnate salvage

original items of power are basically nonexistent now

To expand a bit.. the temp power is a 7 day long buff for your character based on what the old Items of Power used to do. The difference is now its an individual award not something the entire SG earns. But if you do one COP a week with your main you can keep it constantly buffed with something .. more damage, more defense.. whatever it decides to give.

How up to speed are you on the basics of the trial?

Quick and dirty version..

three teams enter the teleporter and arrive in the trial zone.

Each team should take one of the psonic resonators and attack the Willforge that spawns Soldiers of Rularuu. When these are all defeated the barrier will shatter and the resonator can be attacked.

Coordination is key here because all 3 resonators must be destroyed within about 10 seconds of each other or they respawn at 100% and so do the Rularuu that protect them. Forming a league allows easier communication than was available before to help coordiante this but trust me just like the Incarnate trials players will NOT follow instructions and normally you'll need to destroy them more than once. LOL

Once all three are down you open access to the treasure room. inside again you will break off and attack three more willforges defeating the Rularuu. When they are all down the barrier will shatter and you can attack the Aspect of Rularuu. He has incredible regen so anything your teams have available than can debuff it should be used as often as possible. While they prohibited the use of Warburg Nukes you can use other temp powers like Shivan etc to assist with this.

It will probably take a few tries before defeating the Aspect. After a set time (Supposedly about 1 minute) the shield restore and more Soldiers spawn.. Defeat them again to break the shield and attack the Aspect again until he is defeated. make sure the teams know that the faster the Rularuu are defeated the quicker you get back to attacking the AV.. if the Rularuu around their Willforge are down go help take out the ones at the others. They are not that far away and unlike the Lamdba trial there is no cutscene they can run outside to dance in while the other teams are struggling. A helpful reminder for them may be this.. None of the Soldiers of Rularuu defeated award XP, INF, salvage or recipes. There is a huge end bonus awarded when the AV is defeated but ONLY if he is defeated. If they want to screw around and not cooperate .. then they will waste about an hour of play time and get absolutely NOTHING for it.

I know it sounds a little complicated but I hook up with an SG that runs these every weekend and we have it down to a point where we can complete the entire trial in 17 or 18 minutes and that is with mess ups on the resonators outside.

That was pretty quick .. if you want more detail check Paragon Wiki or do a search here.. i know one of the SGs I have run the trial with has a leader that has put together a guide.

Good hunting .. It's a lot of fun and when done right can be very quick!

when CoP came back on a few folks tried to get groups to run it. It is VERY difficult not because its actually hard, but because you really need people to work together timing wise,a nd paying attention wise. you need to know when to attack and when to stop attacking. This isnt as easy as it sounds.

I believe they also disabled the use of nukes for Rularuu as well... making it wicked difficult. Id like to see three teams of Incarnate leveled folks do this. It may have become easy.

FYI- Im home most of the weekend, and Longbaord is DOWN like a CLOWN to do this.

The most difficult thing about the trial is to coordinate the league. Rularuu isn't difficult, and with all the incarnate powers you don't need nukes. Even before the incarnate powers, if you had a good mix of buffers and DPS you wouldn't have difficulty taking the Aspect down.

exactly, which was the poitn in my first paragraph. getting people to work tgether timing wise is tough. anyone who has been on a failed BAF because too many people werent following directions or paying attention to damage bars knows what thats like, except on CoP... its magnified.
