Incarnet Farming
I'm going to guess that you really don't pay attention at all to anything. The devs are making more content for the incarnate stuff as well as coming out with new incarnate abilities. If they would have waited to put all of it out at once we would be waiting a long time for it. Also, you are late with the doom crying. This started about 2 months ago, give or take a week or 2.
I am certainly ready for something new, preferably something that does not require a huge, lag inducing league. I would really like to see something(s) for small teams or even solo-able trial missions and arcs. I know thats it is coming, but not soon enough for me!
Leagues are sometimes fun, but all to often for me they are sad lag-fests. That and the fact that drops and rewards are unbalanced across the league usually make them less than fun.

His complaint, and i tend to agree, is that really with the alpha slot they allowed any level 50 content to allow you to be earning your upgrades for the alpha slot. However with the 4 new ones they limited you to only 2 missions. Will there be more? Yes probably, but when you consider how long it takes to just unlock the new slots (i would say an average of atleast 4-5 runs per slot) your farming before you ever get to the point of needing the slalvage.
If the Devs point was to have more content i would say thats great, but you also know just as I and the devs did, that people are not going to wait for that content, they will want their slots and hancers for them NOW!!!. So basicly it left the only options as farming 2 missions.
His suggestion was a valid suggestion. To simply allow any of the level 45-50 TFs to earn the benefits for the 4 new slots. That is what they did with alpha and it seemed to work ok. Honestly i agree. If threads were = to shards, they at the launch of the new slots they should have had converted all players shards to threads. Convert the recipies for the alpha slots to craft the salvage for those slots from threads and worked them all into the tables that way. Then had added the thread based reward system to any level 50 content in the game. Atleast that way you could run many more things and still be earning rewards.
As it was created it feels very much luck other MMOs that we heavily complained about. Maybe not in that only a few people earn rewards, but that the "End Game" becomes about running few instances for all the rewards that you need and everything else you could be doing is a waste of time if you still needed to unlock or earn those post game rewards.
The real problem with this as its set up now is that it will become harder and harder to find teams running those few instances that grant rewards the longer the system is out. I already choose to only really incarnate about 3-4 of my characters simply because of the repitition and they are the only ones i really cared about. As more people get everything they need the ability for newer players or vets with newer toons to farm instances to get those unlocks and drops will become harder and harder as people move away from doing the level of farming they are currently doing to catch up with 6-7 years worth of level 50s.
Which is why i agree with the OPer. Sure keep new content coming, but atleast set a goal for unlocking the slots sure, but have the reward drops drop doing ANY level 50 content, be it TFs, Trials, or even running standard missions. Keep the playing options open for people to play the way they want to and still earn the rewards which will help to ensure the longevity of not only the game but the end game reward systems as well.
Im with Qui. It would be nice to be able to pick Incarnate settings for high end TFs. What would the incarnate settings be? My thoughts are:
-Only 50+ allowed.
-All mobs 54.
-Mobs that would normally spawn as minions would bump up to Lts.
-Mobs that would normally spawn as Lts bump up to bosses.
-Keep level cap of 50+1 (Lvl 50s have done the most difficult TFs vs Lvl 54s so no need to make that part easier)
-Put option for random table for incarnate salvage as one of the rewards.
-Have threads drop from mobs.
-Have A merits drop at the end as well. Lets face it, a good team can plow through a BAF in less than 15 min. Would it really hurt to toss out 5 or so A merits on an ITF or LGTF that take 2-3 times longer? This would be instead of regular merits so would have to be chosen by the player. Or from what I have read, we may be able to turn merits into thread anyway so that may be moot.
Although this is a catch 22 because the time getting this stuff set up is time taken away from adding more actual Incarnate trials.

We're not going to get more than a trial every 2 months and you'd be sick of them within a few days. This approach gives more options to people and teams in order to fill up those 4x4 powers.
Given the title of this thread, I cannot help but think of something along these lines: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j0...-YH-2145N-.jpg
But back on the actual topic that doesn't involve an in-car net... I haven't touched any of the new trials at all yet. I may be screwing myself over in the end, but I'd rather wait until there's a wide variety so that I don't feel like I'm doing the same thing over and over again. It was bad enough grinding tips. Granted, I'd have the added benefit of having many other people to keep me entertained, but I'd rather not risk getting burned out by doing the same content over and over again.

I don't know about everyone else. But, I am sick to death of the Lambda and Behavioral trials, and have been since about the second week they came out. The developers to this game have been claiming for years that they do not endorse "farming". Yet they implement this new Incarnate System, Alpha was great, could play anything level 50 and get work done towards your goal.
Now they have unlocked and introduced additional Incarnate abilities. All of which were masterfully done. But have once again stuck their proverbial foots in their mouths about the old issue of farming. They have only provided two very large missions that are supposed to be completed and or ran dozens upon dozens upon dozens of times + hundreds and thousands more. One must do this repetitious, mind numbing, rigamarole over and over and over again to just unlock the newest incarnates, let alone actually have everything needed to create them, then to get them to an appropriate skill level.
Now, I really don't believe I'm the only one who's noticed the obvious error in this elaborately ignorant scheme. The Alpha Incarnates were unlockable by playing ALL the lvl 50 task forces and/or strike forces. But, the following incarnates are limited to 2 missions. The fix to this seems obvious to me. Stop with the insane limits on which lvl 50 content drops this or that. Merge all the incarnate systems so that the level shift always applies in task forces and strike forces. Then let the drops (shards, threads, salvage) randomly fall where it may. It may in fact take longer to build the incarnate levels up, but it is at least a preferable outcome to the current standard that literally makes me want to pour hand sanitizer into my eyes as REAL entertainment.
Possibly even keep the BAF or Lambda as the mission to do to unlock the new incarnate slots, but that all the task forces and strike forces drops the needed stuff.
