Hamidon Raids

Hello Triumph heroes! I've moved to this server about a year ago and really like the players here. I came over from Virtue where we would fight Hamidon every Wednesday and Saturday nights. I would love to be able to get a Hami raid setup for every Satruday night around 8PM EST. I've run some raids over on Virtue and have been in at least 150 Hami raids. I'm well versed in defeating Hamidon with your help.

Some simple tips about a Hami raid;

1) We need at least 12 Melee DMG toons to fight the Yellow Mito's.
2) We need at least 12 Ranged DMG toons for the Blue Mito's.
3) We need Empaths or Pain Dominators and Kins for the Melee teams. At least 1 kin on each Yellow Mito team and 1 Emp/Pain on the Tanks team
4) We need at least 3 Tanks with Taunt. (Yes I know I said a Tank with taunt.. some actually don't get taunt)
5) Hold Holds Holds... we need several controllers with holds! The Green Mito's can only be hurt when held.
6) Come to the Hive with an empty Insp tray. This will facilitate in more Essence of the Earth to spread around to the tanks and scrappers as well as laeve some for the squishies.

A Hami raid in a nut shell;

Hero's should meet at the 'safe rock' when they enter the Hive. This is located south of the #2 badge at Hamidons spawn point. When there are enough people in the Hive (best to have 35-50 players), the Raiders can begin to spawn Hamidon. To do this the group needs to take out the Gian Monsters in the Hive zone. This is where one gets Essence of the Earths (EoE's for short). Once enough GM's have been defeated, Hamidon will spawn. At this point, all heroes should head back to safe rock for reconsolidation and reorganization... ie hand out EoE's to those who have only a few. Tanks and Scrappers/Brutes will need the most EoE's as they will be gaining the most agro. Ranged Dmg dealers don't really need them except for the Mito spawns.

The setup for teams against Hamidon should be something like this;

2 Assault teams (each with 6 Ranged Dmg dealers and two controllers)
2 Yellow Mito teams (each with at least 6 melee dmg dealer Scrapper/brute/stalker and 1 Kinetic Controller/Corruptor)
1 Tank team (with at least 3 tanks and 1 Emp/Pain for heals. Best with 5 Tanks and 3 healers)
1 Support Team (with defenders and controllers who can buff teams)

This is the basic makeup of a Hami raid to be done succesfully and smoothly. It can be done with less, tho not recommended.

Once we hav eenough EoE's and have consolidated them throught the teams, we are ready to buff and attack Hamidon. I do this in a 5 stage countdown. Each phase having a 10 second delay except for the first one which is about 20-30 seconds;
5) Cast long term buffs like Deflection Shields and such. In this Clear mind should be given out as well so people don't get mezzed by Blue Mitos on the initial assault. Speed Boosts should be given out as well to speed up the initial surge attack.
4) Cast short term buffs like AM, Recovery Aura, Regeneration Aura and Incarnate buffs.
3) Tanks are told to launch their assault. One taunts Hamidon and the others taunt Yellow Mitos.
2) Melee Dmg teams are told to attack. Their job is to attack the taunted yellows and remove them from existance.
1) Ranged Dmg teams are told to attack. They attack the Blue Mito's near the Yellow Mito teams so they are not Mezz'd by the Blues.

Once all the yellow Mito's are gone, we attack the Green Mito's. The Green Mito's must be held continuosly before they can be damaged. Once all the Green Mito's are gone we all attack the Blue Mito's. Once all Mito's are gone it's Hami time!

Hami will respawn new Mito's at 75% health, 50% health and 25% health. So once the Mito's respawn it's rinse repeat until all spawns are dead and Hami finally goes down.

The player gets to choose from one of these rewards for defeating Hamidon; 52 Reward Merits, 4 Incarnate Shards, Hamidon Origin Enhancement.

My global handle is @Hypricon if you have any questions. Please come out and join me for Saturday Hamidon Raids!!

I'll also try to help set up some Hami Raids on a periodic basis, atleast for the summer. The method I use to set them up is a little different- I've tweaked it in order to allow for teams of mixed ATs to increase the chances for incarnate shard drops, but the instructions I give are still easy enough to follow and keep things organized. I'll try to shoot for a weekday, maybe Wed or Thurs since Hypriconn is already available on Saturdays to set them up.

Hypriconn- I'm not sure if the Hami Kill Squad channel is public, but I'll try to look for you when I'm on and invite you if needed. Can't remember who's a mod (that still plays *looks around for Sun Splitter, Cath, Rhynwa, etc...* ), but I believe I should have mod rights to the channel.

Cya in the Hive/Abyss!
