Yeah, I plan on gathering a shivan and some nukes as well. As I understand it the best strategy is for someone with ATT to wait outside while the rest of the team goes in to click the glowies, at the last glowie they summon the team outside. At this point pets are summoned and buffed then the team runs in, flies above director 11 (with jetpacks if necessary) and hits him with nukes and ranged attacks while the pets tear him a new one. If the team has enough firepower he should die within 30 seconds or so, before anyone has a chance to get hit by a mine.

I won't be asking that everyone bring nukes and shivans, though any that do bring them will be appreciated. I will ask that everyone have fly or jetpacks though, which should be easy enough. I think if we have enough ranged damage, or incarnates on the team with Lore, we should be ok. At any rate, we either get it or we don't and then move on with our lives afterwards.

If you have enough incarnates with barrier you can also do the method Talbien worked out for getting both badges in that mission. He would pre-assign one player to go to the space on which Director 11 spawns and then assign the rest to cover the glowies (2 to the left, 2 to middle, 2 to right roughly). You get all the glowies fast (and the hacker badge) and when D11 spawns the tank/brute on his spot gets aggro while everyone rushes in, puts up barrier/eats extra lucks and then you unload with debuffs/lore pets/judgement. If you can kill him in 60 seconds (don't remember the exact time but I think thats right) he doesn't even get to deploy mines - if you don't, you hope the capped def from barrier covers you.

Did a bunch of runs with Talbien this way and I think we only missed the midnight dodger badge once (and we got it on the second try). Obviously, if you want to bring nukes and shivans they will help as well - but huge amounts of upfront damage and high def does the trick as well. Just 2-3 folks with barrier is probably enough - have one person fire it off at the start of the D11 fight, the second just before the 60s mark and the third if you need it about 30s later

We filled up fast this week, in fact the team was full 5 minutes before the start time and I didn't have to spam the global channels at all. First off, we tore through Director 11 like he was made of paper-mache and got the Midnight Dodger badge. Then we went on to get the other badges making this a complete Master run of Tin Mage! Also we managed to shave almost 4 minutes off the SFS average time for this strike force! Good work everyone!

Next week we'll be starting back at the beginning of the List with the Virgil Tarikoss Strike Force. This strike force awards the Binder of Beasts badge and is for level 15+, so it's a good opportunity to get some xp for one of your redside lowbies. So if you want to fight off a huge demon in a hellish cavern beneath Cap Au Diable, meet up at Tarikoss next Sunday, October 23rd at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!

If the strike force is over quickly I may run the new Halloween trial a few times for anyone that wants to join. The maximum for that is 4 people so if needed we'll split into 2 teams to do it.

Completely forgot about posting again. We had a great Tarikoss run this week! The team filled quickly and we even shaved almost 4 minutes off the SFS average. Afterwards a few of us ran a quick Haunted House trial and checked out the extra Easter Egg boss.

Next up on the List is the Silver Mantis Strike Force, which is level 20+ and awards the Air Pirate badge. So if you wanna fight more sky raiders than you can shake a stick at (now that I think of it, that's a weird expression) meet up in sharkhead next Sunday, October 30th, at 5pm PDT/8pm EDT!

This week the team was mostly full before the start time and we actually got a pretty good time considering we weren't speed running it or anything. We even lowered the SFS average for Silver Mantis by almost 8 minutes!

Next up on the List is the Mortimer Kal Strike Force, one of my favorites! This is for level 20+ but it caps at level 40 and it awards the Promethean Badge as well as a Permanent temp power for those lower than level 50. (50's get a Notice of the Well if it's their first time running this) This one is usually pretty quick so I may run the first respec trial as well. So if you're interested meet up in Sharkhead next Sunday, November 6th at 5pm PST/8pm EST! (That's right, next sunday morning is daylight savings time again, so don't forget to adjust!)

So I was looking over the Wiki page for Mortimer Kal and saw this bit of info I thought might be handy for the Posi fight:

Quote:
While fighting Positron you will periodically see the message "Flames of Prometheus are Active!" which indicates that two special fire imp-like creatures have spawned in the room. Looking from the room entrance, the orange Purifying Flame spawns in the far left corner, and the green Cleansing Flame spawns in the near left corner. Both explode a set time after spawning. The Purifying Flame will try to get close to a player, at which point it will explode, dealing a fair bit of damage, but can be dodged normally.
The Cleansing Flame however, is much more important. If allowed to explode, it will heal Positron fully, regardless of distance or line of sight. The time window is fairly narrow (roughly 10s), and the Flames have pet-level HP, meaning that a low-damage team should take extra care not to allow it to survive.
I used to think that once the imps got to posi they exploded, but apparently it's a timer. So now I know, focus on taking out the Cleansing Flame before it explodes and ignore the Purifying Flame, because really, who cares if it explodes on one of my teammates?

Well, after a somewhat painful experience last night I can confirm the bit above about Posi's imps. The team I was on last night couldn't kill the imps fast enough until the entire team focused on taking it down, and it seemed like Posi had the Imp spawner cranked up to 100. :P We eventually pulled Posi onto the spot where the healing imp spawned so we could all just nuke it as soon as it showed up and sure enough that worked. Will probably do something similar on SFS.

Once again we filled up very quickly, I think mostly because we helped take down scrapyard right before the SFS start time and a lot of people from that stayed around to join Mortimer Kal. So as for the strategy in my last post, we pulled Positron to the corner where the green imp spawns and took him down with no trouble. However I did learn that on a full team 2 green imps will spawn(in opposite corners), so it may have been better to leave him in the middle after all. Afterwards we ran the 1st villain respec trial. Taking down the vines fast enough was a little rocky at first, but we recovered nicely and showed that tree who's boss.

Coming up next week according to the List is the Operative Renault Strike Force, one of my favorites! This strike force not only awards the Leviathan badge, but also will grant you a random coralax temp power! (Coral Amulet, Coral Hammer, or Coral Shards) So if you don't like fish and you want to take the fight to them, meet up in Sharkhead next Sunday, November 13th at 5pm PST/8pm EST!

Hey Zaloopa, when you run your Strike Force Sundays do you have speed in mind? If so I would love to help u get those times way down.

Give me a shout at @Hells Gate but if speed isn't your concern please disregard this post.

I try to make the SFS runs efficient, but I wouldn't really consider them speed runs. I mostly have the average times up so people who have never run them can get an idea of how long it might take. Also because I'm kind of a statistics nerd so I enjoy tracking numbers and whatnot.

We filled up fast again this week, I like it when everyone's working on their lowbie alts! This week there was a bit of a miscommunication on my part, but other than that it was a very smooth run.

According to the List next week is the Ouroboros double-header! That's right, the Mender Tesseract Strike Force (Level 25+) followed by the Mender Lazarus Strike Force (Level 30+). These two strike forces combined usually take about an hour, and Tesseract is one of my favorites because it gives you a look at what Arachnos looked like back in the 60s! So if you're up for a groovy evil time, meet up in Ouroboros next Sunday, November 20th, at 5pm PST/8pm EST!

I'd really like to get in on these groups.

Sorry for the newb question but...where do I go to make sure I'm at the right place by 5 pm PST on Sundays?

It depends on which strike force we're running that week. I usually try to mention each week where next week's starter is, but if I don't I always link to the paragonwiki page for that particular strike force, which lists the location. This upcoming sunday will be started in ouroboros. Here is information on how to get there in case you don't know.

I also tend to post a reminder on the global channel Protector Vigilance about half an hour before the start time.

It's every Sunday at 5pm Pacific time/8pm Eastern time. I forgot to mention, the first post in this thread has a lot of detailed information so that may also answer any questions people may have.

Had a very good turnout this week for the 2 Ouroboros strike forces. The strange thing though is that we managed to lower the averages of both strike forces by exactly 1 minute 31 seconds. We couldn't have managed that on purpose had we been trying! Photo Album

Next up on the List is the 2nd Villain Respec Trial(Level 34+). That one is usually pretty quick so I may also run an Ice Mistral Strike Force(Level 35+) afterwards if enough of the team is interested. Either way, if you want to spend your day beating up a tree, meet up in Nerva next Sunday, November 27th at 5pm PST/8pm EST!

The teams were pretty small this week, but that's how it seemed all weekend. Darn turkey day! *shakes fist* We still ran both the 2nd Treespec and Ice Mistral though! I didn't take very many screenshots, and our scrapper managed to avoid both of the group shots. *shakes fist* Here's the rundown:

Next week we will be ignoring the List and running a special edition of Strike Force Sundays as part of the Naughty or Nice event. If you're too lazy to click that link and see all the cool stuff that's been planned then I'll give you the gist here: We're going to run the Lady Grey Task Force, but we'll be racing a team of heroes who are also running it.

Also, as a villain, I will pay $100 million inf to the villain that sneaks onto the hero team to sabotage them! There's only 3 rules you need to follow if you're going to do this:
1. The villain team has to win for you to get paid!
2. You have to let me know before the start that you're doing this, otherwise anyone could claim they did it afterwards.
3. Remember this is all for fun! When I say "sabotage" I don't mean "grief". Just do little things to make them less efficient, don't cause team wipes or anything!

Hehe, I would totally be your villain saboteur, but Stone is already much too aware of my villainous nature. This would probably be the only time that he would deny me a spot on one of his teams.

That being said, I am going to bring all of my villainous, evil destruction to help you beat the crap out of the hero team for this event. I have been known to devour Rikti at alarming rates (and Stone can attest to that )

Evil triumphs again! MWUAUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!!

Ok, now that that's out of my system. As you can see the Villain team won the Lady Grey Strike Force race. And now for the shocking plot twist: Sept was evil all along! Now, I didn't get screenshots during the SF because I was too busy racing, but I did get my usual Roster/Deaths/Time screens as well as a group shot of the villain team then a group shot of both teams (more or less... rwz is crowded :P )

Next week we return the List by running the Imperious Strike Force, it's level 35+ and requires access to the midnight club (so you can get to cimerora). If interested meet up next Sunday, December 11th at 5pm PST/8pm EST!

Oops, late post... I blame work. So ITF went smooth and we had a lot of fun destroying their faces and such. I also noticed afterwards that almost all of my screenshots were take while I was using flamethrower, I guess because it has sort of a long animation? Anywho, here's the numbers:

According to the List next week is the 3rd Respec Trial. Since I've seen that one done in under 10 minutes before I plan on doing the Lord Recluse Strike Force also. Probably a master run since I haven't done a SFS master attempt in a while. So if you want to beat up a tree, then a robot, then future heroes, then present sidekicks, then present heroes, meet up in Nerva next Sunday, December 18th at 5pm PST/8pm EST!

So we ended up failing the master run, though we got close. Unfortunately in the final mission the AV pull didn't go very well and we ended up with the entire freedom phalanx punching/zapping/irradiating at us. Still, despite that this had to be the smoothest LRSF I've ever been on. Oh, also Litho missed out on the group screenshot at the end, but since there was a big gap I decided to photoshop her in. See if you can tell!

So next up on the List is the Lady Grey Strike Force. We did this a few weeks ago as part of the Naughty or Nice even, but since that was a speed run I figured we could do it again and this time go for the Master badge. Also, next sunday is Christmas so I'm pretty sure I won't be home to run this, so we'll plan on meeting the following sunday. So meet up in the Rikti War Zone on Sunday, January 1st at 5pm PST/8pm EST!
