Anyone ever tried to sell an item on market for more than 2 billions?

Apparently, the game is willing to let me list stuff for more than 2 billions, up until 2 billions and 146 millions precisely (at 147 millions, the 10th digit won't work). Could be just an error on the input screen and maybe the market wouldn't actually let me list something for more than 2 billions, but as I'm a cheapskate and didn't want to burn 100 millions in a fee I thought I'd ask here first if anyone has ever done it and if it is possible.

I can't say I have ever tried this but I am not sure the WW menu would allow it even if I did.. how do you collect your cash? My main is running around with somewhere between 1.8 and 1.9 billion at any given time and the limit she can carry is 1,999,999,999. I have had occasions where I sold off a purple recipe for 200 million or whatever and had to email myself influence because the game wouldn't even let me claim the sale because I'd exceed that total. That being the case why even bother allowing anyone to list an item for 2 billion or more if there is no possible way to claim it?

I can't fix the topic title, but as explained in my post by "tried to sell" I mean "listed". You can't hold more than 2 billions at once so you can't actually buy something listed at any amount higher.

Actually, you can carry 2 billion even. And if you were to list at 2,105,263,157 it would take 105,263,158 up front, then another 105,263,158 when it sold and you claimed it, meaning that you'd take 1,999,999,999 out on a successful sale.

Of course, since you can only hold 2 billion, you can only bid 2 billion, so the item would never sell. But 2 bill is OK.

OH I see what you mean. Still if you can't claim it what's the sense in listing it? Sounds like some Dev messed up. OH NO that could never happen hehehe

That's the thing I'm wondering, if it is actually possible to list something for higher than 2,000,000,001 inf or if it's just a display/input box bug.

Try it on the test server?

2^31 is 2,147,483,648. That sounds very close to the limit you noticed. Not sure why the limit falls a little short of that number.

*edit* Just tried it, the top number I can put in is 2,147,483,647. Note that the 'post' button grays out for any number above 2 billion, so I couldn't actually post the item.

I can clarify that, I presented the situation poorly. It was actually 2,146,555,555 inf and 2,147,555,555 inf.

It was just random/idle curiosity. I don't feel like updating Test just to do that. Taking the 100 mill inf loss would be less effort, heh.
