Confront?
Try fighting anything level 44 and lower before you respec.
I'm just gathering info now. My end plan is to have a fort build, a NW build and an exemping build. At lvl 44 and below I lose a lot of recharge which means I lose perma-mind link as well as rebirth.
Confront does seem to help you counter running enemies, but I'd be more inclined to get a patron immobilize, unless you're only worried about hard-to-immobilize 'hard targets' running (EBs, AVs). Confront's not perfect, I've seen taunted enemies run around anyway, especially if the taunt isn't very strong.
What I might do is respec into it on test first, and do a few test missions where I try to recreate 'running boss' scenarios - like killing all of a spawn but the boss, then hitting him with a debuff. Then if he runs, try confronting him back.

I took Confront on my widow on the last respec. It's the claw powers applying -rech that messes up the AI of various targets. It spaces out their powers too much, and since they can't use anything, they flee in terror. Taunted enemies however, will linger unless their AI has special "run like a moron" instructions like Longbow Eagles and some other units (offhand I don't know any bosses, EBs, or AVs with that -- Caleb as a GM might).
I've used it to great effect when soloing, where AVs will almost always run from me. It's allowed me to solo a few GMs and it keeps me from having to chase down things. I've also used it to great effect during BAF trials, where I can help redirect a few sequesters my way (and then Placate when I'm done). I've used it to pull AVs during ITFs or in other situations. It also lets me draw attention away from my temporary or Lore pets.
I'd rate it as one of my top 5 favorite powers for widow.
Dispari has more than enough credability, and certainly doesn't need to borrow any from you.

Hmm, having read that Dispari, i'm tempted to work both confront, and placate into my night widow's build. the ability to both generate large amounts of aggro, and then drop is completly just sounds pretty fun, especially with the new mechanics they keep throwing in our faces.
I picked up Rebirth from destiny as an incarnate power and find that I really dont use Aid self any more, so I'm thinking about switching that and aid other out.
I've upped my diff to +4 so as to not get bored, but any time I fight a boss I'm always chasing after him while beating him down. Will confront help with bosses running away from me?
