Anyone else seeing tripwires in missions?

When Going Rogue first came out, I was running some missions in Praetoria and one of them was to rescue someone from the Destroyers. I ran down a hallway and got blown up. I rezzed, ran down another hallway and got blown up again. It was then that I started to notice what looked like boobytrap trip wires strung across the map. I started jumping over them and I was fine from then on.

I thought that was a cool new feature the Devs had snuck in, but over time I began to suspect I was wrong. First I noticed "Proximity Bombs" in another mission that just blew up when you got too close, and then I realized I was seeing these "trip wires" in Primal Earth missions.

So does anyone know what these are? Is anyone else even seeing them?

If you're talking about when I think you're talking about then they're just a weird lighting artifact, but it's hard to know without screenshots.

This is the only thing I can think of too.

Essentially, you will see very faint yellowish-white lines that form octagon-like shapes very near to the floor... on sewer maps, they move very slightly, but on most other maps, they remain motionless.

They are the bottom edge of the polygon used to "color" a space to make it appear lit. To my knowledge, they have absolutely no impact on the game world except for making an area brighter.

I suspect what you are seeing are the outlines of the light cone from the overhead directional lights as they intersect the plane of the ground.

OK, thanks all. I should've thought to take a screenshot, but it just came to mind at work this morning. I'll take one and post it the next time I see them.

They seem to have just started showing up after GR was released (or at least that's ehen I started noticing them), and as I recall they mainly, if not only, seem to appear in warehouse maps.

This seems to pretty well describe my experiences with them. I've never been blown up by them though, I just run past/through and they don't seem to have any affect. I don't recall when I started seeing them.

I forgot to quote this on my earlier response that the lines are from the lights. You see the lines move in the Sewers because those hanging lights there have a slight swing to them.

And the lines have been showing for a long time. I used to hover snipe in my sewer missions during my early soloing days. In addition, I noticed that the light lines showed up particularly clearly at the outer corridors in Pocket D when Day Jobs were new and I started parking my characters there. I never got around to bugging that.
