Like Teaming, Want Incar, But Not Trials?

Remember, if you like to team but don't like the Incarnate Trials you can still go the Shard conversion path with a reasonable amount of speed (you'll be way ahead of soloists, that's for sure).

Just run any non-iTrial content, preferably on large teams for more Shards. Convert the Shards to Threads and you're on your way.

Advantage: no faceplanty Trials; varied content; do your favorite things

Disadvantage: it'll cost you Inf (hint to those without much Inf: you can get an average of 70 million for 1 Alignment Merit level 35-39 random roll; 100 million if you're willing to craft the recipes instead of selling them uncrafted). Probably will be a bit slower than the Trials, but not by much (1 Shard = 1 Thread; on teams bulldozing large spawns that can be a very nice drop rate).

No, not optimal, but you can run the content you like and still get Incarnated.

P.S. If you're nuts like me and soloing at least one of your characters through their iSlots...via con dios.

It's very likely that you'll get the 2.5m required to convert before 10 shards anyway, assuming they're all from drops and you didn't just break down one of those things from the weekly strike target. Even better if you find a rare piece of salvage.

I think this is the route I am going to take from here on with my Brute. I am tired of have a character that previously could stand up to Statesman and Lord Recluse at the same time (thank you Mission Architect), feel like he's made of toilet tissue.

So who wants to make a league of players for monday night teams.

Yes, the chief complaint about the method is the Inf cost, but if you have that many Shards, you have that much Inf, it's all but guaranteed. The one downside to that in the teaming method is teaming does tend to limit your Inf generation, but teaming for Shards and soloing or marketing for the Inf would take care of that with little trouble.

It's all about how much you want to avoid the iTrials. I have one of my 50s doing the iTrials, and another doing solo conversion. The strength of the solo conversion is the Inf concerns vanish. Generating that many Shards solo means you're swimming in Inf, and the conversion costs are laughable. My iTrial character is getting through the system much, much more quickly, but at the cost of super-repetitive content and lots of faceplanting. I still use some conversion on him to make the iTrial path even faster.

Personally I'm hoping with I20.5 (or whatever they will call it) you see Threads drop outside the Trials. Thats my 1 and only complaint about the Incarnate content so far. They switched the reward at the end of Apex/Tin Mage to 2 Threads, there's no reason Threads can't drop from the STF, RSF, ITF and LGTF either!
