Massively.com just posted an all new Dev Diary with John "Protean" Hegner (aka; Johnny Ambush) talking about the design behind the all new Admiral Sutter Task Force and the Mortimer Kal Strike Force, coming with Issue 20!

"Greetings and salutations, dear readers! I'm John Hegner, the Lead Mission Designer here at Paragon Studios for City of Heroes, but some of you may know me better as the dangerously charming Protean. But that's neither here nor there. Today I'm here to talk to you about my experience crafting the new Admiral Sutter Task Force and the Mortimer Kal Strike Force, for a content release I like to call Issue 20 -- Incarnates!"

You can check out the article in it's entirety here, and be sure to share it with your friends!

Since when has Protean ever been charming? Dangerous, sure - but charm doesn't seme to be one of his plus points, either in the comcis or in the game

As for the new hero TF, it is pretty epic - and if it the Duray twins had blown up the Skyway City overpasses while they were actually on them, then would have been daring as well as epic

First off I admit I've not been able to get on the beta server (or test server, whichever it's been on) and play through the upcoming TFs.

That said, it seems very odd to me that Primal Duray would be REMOTELY willing to team up with Praetorian Duray.

From Primal Duray's wiki page:

Quote:
"In several classified reports Colonel Duray made it clear to his superiors that he felt the current-day dependence on super-powered heroes was intolerable. He believed it would lead to a super-powered ruling class, where the privileged few would all be super-powered individuals. He clearly resented super-powered civilians who had no allegiance to the military chain."
That exact thing HAS happened in Praetoria, and IDF Colonel Duray is a subordinate of that "super-powered ruling class." Shouldn't Praetorian Duray be the proof positive of everything Primal Duray's been saying/believing this entire time?

Is this plot point worked out/hand waved in the new TF? Skipped over completely? Retconned?

Edit: Aside from that Sky Raider floating fortress looks AWESOME. Plus, outstanding job on the destroyers.

Well, Tyrant also forces all superpowered people to be part of his military chain, so Primal Earth Duray might find that more acceptable.

Or murders - it seems to depend on his day to day mood

But there are a lot of superpowered people forced to serve in the Powers Division.

so where is the admiral located? I ran all over Talos and he doesn't seem to stand out!

NVM, I found out in chat. It's really in IP.
