Launch the game without NClauncer
You can launch the game without the NCSoft launcher, just use:
C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\cityofheroes.exe -project coh
C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\cityofheroes.exe -project eucoh
C:\Program Files (x86)\City of Heroes\cityofheroes.exe -project cohtest
(adjust path as necessary, not sure the 'project' for eu test)

I think eucoh is right, but it might be cityofheroes.eu.exe too.

And I know you said adjust the path as necessary, but I just want to say \CoH Test\ for the last one. haha

That sorta sounds familiar... inconsistent, but familiar.

Of course, if you're on OS X (which, IIRC, isn't supported for the NC Launcher, so doubtful you are), you'd need to adjust your commands some, since you won't be running any exes directly, but via cider.

But incorrect, we use the same executable as the US client.

Then are you aware of the command to get to the EU test server? You could find out by launching the EU test server, then checking in Process Explorer what command it was launched with.

You sure about that Ohms? It is my understanding that the actual programs for cityofheroes and cohupdater are actually identical but that the NA ones have the extension .exe while the EU ones have the extension .eu.exe
It is that extension that tells the programs which server to connect to. This may have changed with the change over to the nclauncher through.

"D:\Games\CohTest\CityOfHeroes.exe" -project euCoHTest -launcher -setlocale 1033 -auth 64.25.36.20
ETA: D:\Games\CohTest\cityofheroes.exe -project euCoHTest -auth 64.25.36.20 also works but it doesn't work without the "-auth 64.25.36.20" part

The game executables are identical, however, the updaters - despite being identical files - are named .exe for the US and .eu.exe for the EU client. One presumes that the name of the executable used to launch the updater is how it determines which switches to use to launch the game, which patchserver to hit for updates and where in the registry to grab things like the "latest news" page URL from.

Ahh.. that makes sense... I was simply thinking of CouUpdater.eu.exe, and linking directly to the CityofHeroes.exe file would still be CityofHeroes.exe, but need -eucoh.

Now that we all know how it works, it'll just be obsolete once the serverlist merge goes live soon anyway. lol
I just noticed you cant seem to launch the game anymore outside the NClauncher, all fun and stuff, but serious FIX the retarted fact that i need 18GB for the same stupid game. I always had 2 clients, test and live, wich could run US or EU client from the same folder.
Clearly NClauncher cant, it either goes repairing (2.6GB) or replaces the entire entry in the list, once u manualy select a different folder from the properties.
My entire testclient is completly corrupt yet again, just 5 minutes ago i was happy runnin around in an empty EU testserver, after launching NClauncer again it decided it need a repair and im back downloading 2.6GB again.
edit, just fire the retart maintaining this forum.. i click post:
