A TF's dream brute (help!)

on a shield def toon you need to make sure that your active defense is near perma double stacking. i can easily do the roof tops solo on my shield scrapper. lets see your build so we might find the problem

I wrote a long detailed post but the internet ate it....

The short hand was monitor your defense and if you see it dropping hop out of the mob for a sec to let the debuff wear off. Even granite tanks can get eaten by a big group stacking -def and huge crits.

Yep, always gotta moniter your def.
I generally moniter a lot more than that though. Playing SS/ a lot i moniter +dmg too.

Yup. That's a monster.

Other than swapping soul tentacles for gloom (you're softcapped to melee without it) for an extra single target attack, I would totally play that build. It's more than capable of soloing the towers.

So monitor your defense, get back out there, crush those romans, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women. It is what is best in life, according to the Proto-Brute himself.

ok so im thinking of having the exact same build EXCEPT using mu as the epic,i honestly dont use gloom or soul tentacles much ,dark oblit is gr8 but with mu i get 2 aoe's so im thinking it would be better,id have some damn nice aoes,footstomp,sheild charge,electrifying fences,ball lightning,thats alot

No, dont do it. The kd is too much to give up IMO. And you really should use gloom, its good....like REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY good.

Well, Soul Tentacles is garbage, but if you're using ST attacks, you should be using Gloom. It's THAT good.

not to mention the -to hit from them. i wouldnt change my set up at all for that.

Gloom is like Family. You don't part with Family..

Well, to be fair not having Gloom WOULD make it pretty easy to not use it a lot.

ok so on Lord Hyperion(my farmer) i have MU mastery and despite what you guys said (sorry!) i figured id give it a shot and just change it back if i didnt like it(i have like 6 vet respecs) and well im sorry guys but..... i love it..... its really nice having a Hold On a brute, in BAF its extremely usefull when the prisioners are escaping and to hold just any mob together when im beatin the (excuse my language but there are no other words to describe it ) $h1t out of them with my aoe's

It's all about playing it the way you enjoy it. Gloom is great but its not like your leaving out footstomp or shield charge from the build.

Pretty sure Mu doesnt have a hold.

Pretty sure he means the immobilize.

well guys Thank You Very Much for all the build advice,and dealing with my noobieness along the way,i am much better informed on how to make builds now My toon is Recluse's Bruiser and im on freedom ,so shoot me a tell if youd like ATM of this post im VERY close to having cardiac core paragon and i have Tier one Lore and Judgement

this is the most fun ive had on a toon,i can solo gens with no probs,and solo the towers with ease, its great
