Thunderstrike?
From ParagonWiki:
A massive attack. You smash your foes with all the power of a lightning bolt. The pummeled victim takes tremendous damage and may be Disoriented. Any nearby foes may be knocked down and take some damage from the shockwave. |

The energy and knockdown portions of the attack are AoE; the smashing part applies only to the targeted foe.

If memory serves, the targeted enemy takes Smashing/Energy damage, while the surrounding foes take only the Energy portion of the damage. The target and the AoE all have the same chance for knockdown and stun.
Edit: darn ninjas
Edit 2: just checked the in-game numbers on my 50 Brute, and it looks like the Smashing and Energy damage is almost the same (41 vs 40).
There are two versions of the power. The scrapper/brute/stalker one does fairly similar damage to the surrounding foes as the main target. It's just a bit less. It also does knockDOWN. The blaster version does practically no damage to the surrounding foes (it's barely noticeable), and also does knockBACK.
Thanks! Seems like my brute does kb, though. Are you sure it's only knockdown?

Does anyone know what this power does to non-targeted mobs in the AoE? Mids, the in-game, and Tomax don't give any info on what it does to target vs "splash" effects. Thanks!
