Silent Hill 2 Movie
I picked up the first one on Blu-Ray recently. Glad to see the actors and creative folks are returning. Should be creepy.

I liked Silent Hill. Looking forward to this, especially if everyone is returning.
I have very few complaints about the first Silent Hill.
The main one is certain parts of the movie are too much from the game (Specifically where she finds the knife to cut through something and then immediately drops it) and the sequel could do without moments like that.
Definitely looking forward to this as Silent hill was the first time a horror movie actually made me cringe in years
Looks like it will be a sequel based on Silent Hill 3, with Adelaide Clemens playing Heather Mason. (Source)
"Sneak Peek" blog is reporting that the principal photography in Toronto has already started for Silent Hill 2 from Lionsgate films. Plus synopsis for the video game adaptation sequel past the jump and more...
So according to "Sneak Peek" blog they've started and writer/director Michael J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) is there too at the helm.
Movie will be in 3D and the producer is Don Carmody (Resident Evil).
Lionsgate:
For years, Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
It looks like that both Radha Mitchell and Sean Bean, who were in the first Silent Hill, will return for the upcoming Michael J. Bassett's horror sequel. Plus, another new photo has been released. Check out the press release!
Davis Films producer Samuel Hadida and Don Carmody announced today that the stars of Silent Hill, Radha Mitchell (The Crazies, Surrogates), Sean Bean (HBO's upcoming series "Game of Thrones," Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief, "The Lord of the Rings"), and Deborah Kara Unger (Shake Hands with the Devil, 88 Minutes) will return to join Adelaide Clemens (X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Mad Max: Fury Road) and Kit Harington ("Game of Thrones") on Silent Hill: Revelation 3D.
Filming in Toronto, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is based on a screenplay by director Michael Bassett (Solomon Kane, Deathwatch), who is joined by cinematographer Maxime Alexandre (The Crazies, Mirrors, The Hills Have Eyes), production designer Alicia Keywan (The Haunting in Connecticut, Messengers), costume designer Wendy Partridge (Silent Hill, Hellboy, Underworld) and edited by Michele Conroy (Vincenzo Natali's Splice).
International sales are being handled by Lionsgate.
Bassett said: "It wouldn't be the same without some of the original 'Silent Hill' cast. Sean, Radha and Deborah's return will certainly thrill fans of the franchise and compliment Revelations stars Adelaide and Kit."
Alexandre added: "With the most advanced technology available, in particular the lighter, smaller and more flexible 3D Red Epic, we are able to take audiences deeper in the world of 'Silent Hill' than they ever dreamed possible. Devotees will finally be able to enter this realm along side of Heather, Vincent, Harry and Rose and experience the psychological horror and the fear of the unknown with them."
Silent Hill: Revelation 3D is based on the acclaimed survival horror videogame franchise by KONAMI and is the sequel to Hadida and Carmody's earlier Silent Hill directed by Christophe Gans. For years, Heather Mason (Clemens) and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she's not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
