Kinetic Combat: one recipe missing from Trashcan

Hi folks,

I am using some of my hard-earned villain merits to buy a couple of Kinetic Combat sets.

When I go to buy from the Trashcan, it lists:
• Kinetic Combat: Chance of Knockdown
• Kinetic Combat: Damage/Endurance/Recharge
• Kinetic Combat: Damage Recharge
• Kinetic Combat: Damage Endurance

But no listing for Kinetic Combat: Accuracy/Damage.

Anyone know if this is by design?

If I'm not mistaken it's been like this since A-Merits came around since I remember looking it up and not finding it. I do believe it's a f-up on the devs side and not intentional since all other sets have all their recipes (From what I've seen anyways, haven't looked at all sets lol).

Acc/Dam Kinetic Combats are usually the cheapest after the proc though, shouldn't be too hard getting them. I get a ton of them from Bronze rolls in AE too.

Only rare and very rare recipes can be purchased with A-merits. The Acc/Dam recipe is an uncommon recipe. WAI.

Really? Wow I never noticed that before

Close, but not quite.

Availability is based on Reward Merit cost.
-Items that cost less than 100 Reward Merits are not available for A-Merit purchase.
-Items that cost 100-199 Reward Merits cost 1 A-Merit.
-Items that cost 200-299 Reward Merits cost 2 A-Merits.
-Items that cost 300 or more Reward Merits do not exist, but would presumably follow the same pattern.
-Items that cannot be purchased with Reward Merits have a special pricing scheme (purples, PVP IOs, Respecs, costume parts, etc).

Because most uncommons cost less than 100 Reward Merits, they aren't available as A-Merit purchases. However, at least one Uncommon costs over 100 Reward Merits: The Steadfast Protection: Resist/Defense, and it is indeed available for A-Merit purchase.

You can buy one from a regular reward merit vendor for 50 merits. It looks like they sell on the market for 35-45 million (the recipe) or 40-45 million (crafted).

I actually went to Trashcan last night and didn't see ANY Kinetic Combat recipe's? Have they removed them completely, or am I looking in the wrong spot? The only thing I saw was the Mako set?

Were you browsing as a level 50? You have to set the slider to the value of the recipe you want, and Kinetic Combat caps out at 35. Slide the button down to that point and it should be available.

Note also that the slider will not have an effect on random rolls; you can only set the level for singles that you buy.

Make sure you:

1. Have "Hide Recipes Missing Ingredients" unchecked. If you have this checked and you don't have sufficient merits to buy the recipe, you won't see the recipe at all.

2. Are looking in the right level range. There's a level slider at the top of the dialog. If it's at 50 and the recipe in question maxes out at 40 or 30, then you won't see the recipe. This is kinda pernicious design, imo, but that's the way it works.

Thank you, I had not noted the level slider! (Oh goodness that makes life easier, I thought I might have to start grinding some AE to get KC recipes... ugh)

I ran into this problem over the weekend and ended up just buying them on the market. I didn't even think to try buying them with regular merits.
