It doesn't take a lot of effort to "spawn" Hami, a team of 8 (especially with the new incarnate stuff and Alpha level shift) could do it pretty quick I'd imagine.

I don't know how easy it is to triple spawn hami, nor do I know how to do it. Again, however, with the new incarnate stuff I'd imagine a team of 8 could easily jackknife the whole thing.
Hami itself wasn't triple spawned but it's mito's where this is a result of a failed Zerg raid where they try to skip the mito blooms and directly kill Hami

So for example they might have taken out the first bloom of mito's then powered through the 75%, 50% and 25% and then failed to make it the last 25% at that point you have 3 blooms of mito's.

This.

And Philly, we've always been on Guardian and Pinnacle, and have no real interest in going elsewhere. We've run with the public in 9 minutes on multiple occasions, and our guild has shaved time off of that. My understanding is that the other servers use Warburg nukes and other temp powers to assist. We don't. So if you don't either, then by all means, well done. We actually have a 5-minute goal, which shouldn't be a problem, provided we get past the lag that has hit with a lot of folks in i20.

If you shave time off of your raids, by all means, send me a message. I'm always curious to see what other servers are doing.

Forgive me because I'm new, but what's a guild?

Also, speaking from experience, but most servers are up to delegates going to other servers and offering up their skills, especially if their claims are verified.

It's a term used in other games, like *Quest, etc... it's NOT a term in the lexicon of City of Heroes.

You often see newbies to CoH come and use it. The equivalent term here in CoH is "SuperGroup" (SG).

It can be associated with a CoX. TA is NOT the only SG that uses this term and it is not used only by new players.

Guild
–noun
1. an organization of persons with related interests, goals, etc., especially one formed for mutual aid or protection.

Hi X2!

I am sure that TA is not the only SG that uses the term. I am quite sure that across all the Servers there are more than a few.

That's exactly my point -- many people who come from other games (and start SGs or VGs) who got into MMOs and came to think that's the word to use make the same mistake here on CoH.

But while the definition of the word "Guild" can encompass the meaning of "SuperGroup", that does not make it the right word. After all, many other words -- like "Club", "Fraternity", "Brotherhood", "Society", "League" etc. all can be equally used, dictionary-definition-wise, in lieu of "SuperGroup".

While always open to being corrected when I'm wrong, I will have stick to my guns on this one -- the only proper term in the Lexicon of CoH is "SuperGroup" (and in CoV, "VillainGroup", or VG).

It's irrelevent. This thread was about Hamidon. All i see in this thread are children going back and forth calling each other out and pointing fingers. This thread is better off locked and/or trashed (might look in to it). This crap happens. Get over it. People "should" have the decency to not pull this but oh well. Dare i say it, it's just a game.

Of the servers listed only the 7 min raid used nukes and that was pre alpha and incarnates, i can't imagine how fast they could do it now. Sometimes people will fire a nuke for powering through the bloom but it isn't needed to reach that time. The 12 min raids will go lower just with the nature of the incarnate slotting. Lvl shifts and extra buffs, debuffs, and attacks will make the "fastest times" for everything change.

I use the word guild when referring to the Twilight Avengers because we actually are a guild that spans multiple online games (8 or so, at last count). Technically, of course, we are a SG and VG in this game that serves as the CoX chapter of the guild. I use the terms interchangably for our group, since both happen to be true for us. But I agree it can be confusing to those not familiar with the term, and can't speak as to why others may use it.

That was what I had heard about the 7 minute raid, but wasn't 100% sure. Thanks for confirming it. As for the rest, congratulations. Sounds like most servers that raid Hami regularly are in the same neighborhood.

I also agree that the level shifts and incarnate slotting will certainly make the times drop. The "fastest time" is, and will always be, relative.

While it's true this thread was originally about Hamidon, thread conversations do naturally tend to meander about.

I was answering a publicly posed question in it -- i.e., "What is a Guild". It's understandable that the poster would be confused, since it's not a native CoH term.

Just think what would be engendered if I was to go to any of the countless Fantasy MMOs out there, create a toon of any sort and start looking around for a "SuperGroup" to join, or to start one? What laughter! What mockery would be heaped upon me?

None of that has been done here.

Wow... so much love...

I love RAIDING, Wednesday Hami raids are great, TA does a awesome job. Severe and everyone that night did and awesome job. (awesome in the fact we all completed I got my hamio)

I'm not opposed to doing two or more Hami raids during the week. Personally I don't care who leads, as long as we get the job done.

Personalities are always going to clash, someone is always going to either feel left out, put down or annoyed by someone else. whether it’s a person or a group. I believe the majority in this game is adults, or at least meet the age requirement to be called and adult So if you don’t like someone or group, you have two options don’t team with them, or suck it up and play the game.
