DS/Therm. Are the any viable APP Shields for Tankermind?

You can choose freely from both Epic and patron powers as both blue and redside as far as I know

Cold Mastery looks to be your best best APP-wise, it's the only one with a Defense based shield as well as Hibernate and Hoarfrost (although with a MM I'm not sure how close to the HP cap you are already and if you'll get good milage from Hoarfrost).

I love Cold Mastery for MMs, a defense shield that takes resist sets (so you can slot the +3 def ios), +HP/heal, hibernate and a mule for the purple sleep set that, on occasion, can be useful.
Global = Hedgefund (or some derivation thereof)

I took chill mastery on my Demons/Thermal. Flashfreeze is a power that performed better than I expected. It's an AoE sleep. When it's up I lead off with it. Whatever I miss comes after me, but is soon dead from the ranged attacks from the demons. If AoE splash does wake a foe, there is still a period of time it takes for them to react. It really cuts down on the alpha strike. What surprised me most on the demons is that they do NOT instantly break sleep on all dozers.

I am currently a Praetorian. I am planning on taking my ds/therm blueside. I really want to get an Epic Shield come lv 41, but if I COULD I'd like to avoid having to double switch alignments just to get patrons powers.
So.
Are there any comparable Blueside APP shield powers worth taking IN LIEU of grabbing Patrons?
If it's more than worth it to just make the switch, be honest.
