BS/SD Scrapper idea

It degrades over time, but at the most degraded portion of the buff my perma-HP capped DM/Inv Scrapper gets 46.10HP/sec. The buff lasts for 2 minutes and is on a Recharge time of 2 minutes, unaffected by any +Recharge or -Recharge. For half of the duration (1 minute) I get 72.81HP/sec or more. Lets also not forget that it is also a heal at activation, healing me 1139.43 HP.

Oh, and at the beginning I get 233.04HP/sec for 10 seconds.
That's insane o.O

Sorry, that's "incarnate", not "insane". My bad.

Some folks really have no idea just how powerful we're getting as Incarnates. I can't freakin' wait til this stuff is on the Live servers!

I think the issue is that it's really tough for the casual player to stay up to speed on all the incarnate content.

I'm not even casual and I'm struggling to bring say 5-6 alts through just the T3-T4 alpha slots, with the time I have -- which is basically maybe 1 hour every night and then if I devote 5-6 hours Sat/Sun to things.

I think your point about only picking 1-2 toons to take up the Incarnate content is probably right, as it appears to take a lot of time!

Thats prob what I'll do, i only have 6 50s atm, one just hit 50, the others 3 have tier 4s, one will be a few weeks, and the other I just run the weekly tfs for the double merits for rolls. New guy will get a lot of action once he gets his alpha unlocked

If you do all the tfs for the common salvage instead of spending shards for it, you can get tier 3 pretty quick, tier 4 just takes time tho.

19 level 50's here, and still more to come sooner than later. There's no way I'd try to give the best to them all, so I just pick 1 or 2 of my favorites!

Well I made a few revisions to the build. About the same really, lil more recharge, biggest difference is heal other/self 3 slotted each, numinas, so some good bonuses. His HP is capped when OwtS is running, at 2100 rest of time (when t4 spiritual is going). If my quick math is right, he will be at 89% DDR all but 10 seconds of the time. Seems pretty good I guess, is 95% possible on a /sd?

And on the alts. I definatly have one main, and he will get his shiny new stuff before the rest of my toons no doubt. He has 225 or so shards and 10 or so commons sitting around already, to either spend on new stuff or get a 2nd alpha, depends I guess. I love playing him so having to get other salvage is cool, just hope its not a whole lot where it feels like grinding/farming just for the salvage. The cold def is prob number two after him. The tank I have is mroe or less to have one to switch to when sg/coal needs one really. The brute is for farmin. The new bs/sd scrap will fall in somewhere not sure yet, he is hella fun, and fairly survivable on just SOs, although I think I'm gonna IO him today whenever the servers come back up.

Here is the build. Any critiques would be awesome. Depending on how I like him 6 months from now he might get the glad+3 then some purples, but who knows at this point, thats a lot of farming/WW work.

I see nothing that I can complain about in that build really.

Except it doesn't have a fluid attack chain? Hack-Disembowl-Hack-HS requires Hack to recharge in under 1.98 seconds. I guess he can use Slice as a filler but that probably lowers DPS.

Hey Bass,

This thread inspired my to start my own BS/SD.

He's currently sitting at 21 and is about to start getting some helpful IO's. (+end uniques mostly).

However, I'm forced to play on OSX at the moment and don't have access to mids. Would you mind posting that build in the whole?

Thanks. Pictures coming soon.

Yeah i figured I do'nt have the recharge for the chain you mentioned granite. I figure against AVs and such I'll have to throw slice in there. Against groups I'll be using slice and whirling all the time so not as big of an issue. Down the road I might throw the glad+3 on him and some purple sets, but I do'nt think even a few 10% recharge bonuses will get that second off of hack, but maybe frankenslotting hack on top of 2-3 10% recharge would do it though. I could take hasten I guess, but I'm really tired of that power honestly. I know its awesome, but the visuals get on my nerves. My ma/sr and cold/rad both have it perma, and my farmer has it close to perma. I don't want it on all my toons. And against AVs and such maybe I'll be lucky enough to have some SB on me and that should help also.

Thanks yall for looking and leaving notes.

Also, I took a screen shot but I'm having difficulty posting it.

Thought I'd add this build as well, just for reference. It's my PvP build, which is to say the build I started with but with the Gladiator's Armor +3% Defense IO slotted in. This allows me to remove Maneuvers and, with a little re-slotting (Taking out a Scirocco's Dervish, moving Obliteration from Slice to Headsplitter and filling Slice with Eradication) and getting Super Jump as a travel power. Dropping Maneuvers also lets me drop Cardiac Core as an Alpha and move on to Spiritual Core.

Of course in order to use it I need an IO that costs either a) 2 Billion Influence or, b) 30 Hero Merits.

Yeah... That's why I made a non-PvP build first. But anyways, here's the PvP version.

However, I'm forced to play on OSX at the moment and don't have access to mids. Would you mind posting that build in the whole?

Thanks. Pictures coming soon.

I'm attempting to be lazy with sharing the images by dumping them on google docs... We'll see if it works (yes) and for how long (that's the rub I guess?). His first costume, a post-modern angel:

And the classic angel:

Current build is something like this which if you load it you see is still classic pool fitness. I hadn't settled down on what I'm doing to fix that. Nor what I'm going to do to pull slice/whirling (depending on the circumstance) from the attack chain. I'd like to get some self healing and parry. That's easy enough with 3 fitness powers but then I'm slot-poor and hadn't decided yet what to do about it. I wouldn't mind picking up maneuvers and tactics too, but that requires power picks I don't have free.

Largely at this point I'm waiting for the further incarnate slots. If they're easy enough to get and the heal one is good enough I could ignore medicine, that'd help my goals a lot.

I like the costumes Rhysem.

Haha all right, wasn't so much the thread as it was the great costume you posted. Helped spark a concept, which is what I needed to carry a BS/SD through the early grind. He just hit 22, and I've tossed him two +recovery uniques and a steadfast 3%. It's definitely helped a lot. Now I just need to wait a long time to get the damn halo aura.

Thanks for posting the build. I've got all the expensive pieces it needs in storage and my new BS/SD is one of two prime candidates for receiving them.

Sometimes it can be the build alone that carries the character, y'know? Shadow - Knight and Valkyrior have the same Mids' build (BS/SD Scrappers), but the names and themes are what makes me enjoy them both.

That's good that you have the expensive stuff ready to go. The character will be a force to be reckoned with, that's for sure!

Ah, the glory of shield paladins.

Weight training: Because you'll never hear someone lament "If only I were weaker, I could have saved them."

I like the touch of red. I should take one of Shining's other costumes and kick around some ideas again.

Is there a trick to posting screenshots that I'm missing. I'm not having any luck at all.

During the game hit 'Print Screen'. A screenshot will appear in your City of Heroes game folder in the Screenshots subfolder.

Ya gotta find somewhere to host the images. I stuck mine up on google docs, made them "public to anyone with the link." Then I looked at the public pages for them and copied the image URL, and stuck that in the bracket-img-bracket tag.

It should be noted I don't use the WYSIWYG editor.
