small team pvp tournament... just checking for interest

Would there be enough interest to hold a 2v2 or 3v3 or maybe 4v4 tournament on liberty? My thoughts on rules would be:

No Heal Decay
No Travel Suppression
No matched ATs
No matched powersets

I guess I'm one of those few who actually enjoy PvP, particularly when I win.

The concept of 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 invites even more tactics and strategies.

To make things "moah fair", I'd suggest that players who are on teams together only be teamed together once - I don't think synergy would be a good idea for an event like this. If the server were a collection of players well-versed in PvP, that'd be something different, but as a whole, I'd say we're not.

So, if work and sleep are not going to interfere, I'd go for some PvP. I went last night into Warburg looking for some, but I guess the weekly strike target shine hasn't dulled yet.

I think it's a good idea... however, I am not sure of the participation level on Liberty supports it...

I have never been the one to PvP (though I had high hopes at one time, but RL and SG duties prevented much participation in the PvP training that some better players enacted on Liberty a while back)...

Back on topic: I think some sort of PvP activity is good as an alternative to the other ingame stuff... There is no such thing as a bad idea when you are trying to get teams together and give people a choice of things to do...

hmm, good to know that at least a few people might be interested. I wanted to keep it fairly casual and myself as well as those I would likely team with (ie, those with a history of arena pvp)would probably not end up on uber builds and uber team set ups as those characters are on freedom anyway. I was hoping the idea of prizes (purples, pvp ios, monies) might entice a few people to throw their hat in the ring.

I'd be really happy to do this - again. I miss the Friday Night PvP nights, and some of the events before that, even. Hell, organized team-meets in Warburg / Recluse's Vic haven't happened in how long? But, I digress.

I see this as, or more accurately hope that this is, the next step up from the PBvPB we've been doing over on Justice. While that's great fun, I have toons I intended for pvp gathering dust right here on Lib.

So, yes, let's get this going if we can, please. All praise to Robo for putting this forward, and hopefully, we'll soon be meeting in the Arena.

i'm going to draft up a full post for this and see who signs up.

I would eventually like to get some themed pvp matches going on. I have been trying to make some comics recently and it would be cool to have a vg and sg go at it for a crossover. We could even take notes to add to the story.
