I haven't even noticed the name thing, I have been so put off by the zoning problem, that I hardly touch my MM anymore.

Think I might have figured out a pattern here with the unresponsive pets. If you cast your pets without any 1st or 2nd level equipment added, they zone and respond perfectly. But if you enhance your pets with either the 1st or 2nd level enhancement, they stop responding after you zone. I tested this by zoning in and out of Brickstown/Independence port several times each.

I sent in a bug report, maybe they can figure out how to fix it.

LoL they said that 19.5 would launch early Feb so that translates to about March 29th.

I don't know, I've been playing two MMs lately (Merc/Trap and DS/Pain), with no, one, and both upgrades depending on the level. And over the last several weeks I've only had the unresponsive bug one time, during the last mission of the new redside Coral arc.

By the way, to fix it use /releasepets instead of a dismiss command. It "kills" all the pets, and you can resummon new ones. When this bug occurs, dismiss will drop them out of your box but they still stay where they are, and no longer respond to commands. /releasepets gets rid of them more forcefully.

Yeah! Remember when pets didn't zone with us? Man, the game was unplayable then.

Oh, wait, you mean they only added that functionality less than 18 months ago?

Actually the problem is, even if you dismiss your pets and re-summon them, they are still unresponsive. I have been forced to log out with my MM and leave him logged out until the next live server downtime before his zombies would move again.

And a MM without pets kinda sucks

No need to do that.

/releasepets then resummon. (As mentioned before.) It essentially kills your pets (works for controllers, too) as opposed to just dismissing.

Yes, it is an irritating bug.

in at least one instance with a MM who had catatonic pets in Praetoria i used /releasepets and then resummoned them. They still would not move. They would give the acknowledgment message when given an order and then continue to do nothing. In my experience logging out long enough to reset all character states (15 minutes?) was sufficient to fix it, but it is quite annoying.

Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...

The main times it happens for me are in Safeguards, Mayhem Missions, and Reichsman SF. Having to take time to resummon during timed missions or when the dev has placed timed ambushes aimed at you Is a bad thing. Everytime I've put in a ticket on it, they tell me about the /releasepets or to "teleport the pets where they can take some damage and they should respond normally." From the ticket responses I've gotten it appears this is a solved problem in their mind. ITS STILL BROKE.
