Blaster Ancillary Power Pools Question
PFF is indeed the self bubble that turns you into bubble-boy. You can't attack, but are very hard to hit, as well.
Temp Invuln is a glowy aura around your whole body. You can easily see what it looks like before you get it on your character by making an Invuln character in the character creator, and seeing what it looks like there.

Looks like I have my respec figured out. For a while there it was looking like charged armour might win. The additional energy res looked good, but no spot for a LotG in that pool.

Munitions mastery comes with an Auto invul with no FX at all. Body armor.
My DP/EM blaster is gonna get that ancillary.

Question: am I correct in thinking that PFF is NOT a good place to put a Kisment Increased ToHit (6%) proc, because the proc (as of a recent change) is active only while its power is turned on, and fades immediately when you turn off the power (and of course to-hit does you no good when you're under the "Affecting Self Only" status of PFF)?

Yes, PFF is the last place you'd want a Kismet 6% to-hit IO.
Regarding Munitions, I have it on one Blaster for theme reasons (he's a Natural hero with gadgets so I wanted a no-FX shield and a hold that used a gun) and it's not bad. However, Body Armor is a bit less than half as effective as the toggle armors and has no component other than S/L... it costs no endurance and can't be suppressed but it's only a minor boost. If you don't specifically want other powers in the set or want to avoid any visual effects on your shield I'd go with another set.
(Though I do have to mention that having an AoE snipe can be fun at times, and who doesn't like shooting rocket launcers at people? )
Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name

Ah... considering the answer above, I better be careful.
Now if I put my 7.5% LotG global recharge in PFF, does it work when the PFF is inactive?

The LotG +Rech functions like a set bonus. That means that if you get a level 25 one, it remains in effect even when you exemplar all the way down to 22 (But no lower; it stops working if you are more than 3 levels below the level of the IO). It even works if you lose access to the power it's slotted in, as long as you're not too low for the IO to function!
@Roderick
Thank you. Very good information.
I'm not sure I understand what makes the Kismet different? I understand that it won't work. I'm just not sure why it's different? Because it does a 'to hit'?

PFF is infinitely useful in keeping you alive in times when you'd otherwise be dead.

Thanks for answering that.
Not quite sure I'll be able to spot the difference in the future but the big difference I'm getting is one offers a constant effect, and the other is induced by using a power?
Thanks again.

It's really easy to spot the difference. The "functions like a set bonus" ones just say that they grant you a buff. The "functions like a proc" ones always either say "Has a chance to" or "(does whatever) for 120 seconds".

Hey,
I'm thinking of spending a vet respec on my DP/EM blaster and this time I'm thinking of actually dipping into the Ancillary Power Pools, mostly for some S/L resists as I don't want to go into the Fighting Pool.
So far I am most interested in the Force Mastery Pool to get the Personal Force Field---> Temp Invulnerability.
So I've played bubble masterminds, but I'm not sure I'm thinking of the right force field...is this basically the power that turns you into a bubble boy..? Kind of an "oh S*$#^" power?
And what are the graphics for Temp Inv? Is it like frozen armour? Do any of the Ancillary Power Pools have non-offensive body armour type powers (like Temp Inv.)?
Thanks.
