Dark Knight Rises Villains
Considering that three Daxamites, who have the exact same powers as Kryptonians, completely wiped out all life on a planet where the entire population had the power to take out a Daxamite or Kryptonian in a matter of seconds, yeah, Superman doesn't begin to use his power to its full extent.
"Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly, the ill deeds along with the good and let me be judged accordingly. The rest is silence." -- Dinobot
Interesting choice. Especially considering my personal lust for Hathaway. She's purrrrrrfect!

Superman was raised well by the Kents.

Looks a lot like something out of Batman Returns.

Speaking as someone who knows Tom personally, I think he's going to be a fantastic Bane. He's not a very large dude in person, but as he showed in Bronson, he can pump himself up and the camera can work wonders in making someone look a lot larger than they really are.
Bane doesnt have to be a larger then humanly possible character. Keeping inmind that the Batman in the Nolan universe is a fit but humanly proportioned character, Bane could simply be a body builder that has been trained to fight as batman has, then that takes part in a steriod type venom to get more pumped up.
It can still fit because performance enhancers are very real, unlike say a true super power like flight or laser beams from the eyes do. |
I'm really excited for him and can't wait to see what he does with the role. Knowing some of his personal history, the idea of seeing him play someone with an addiction to the serum is going to be really special. It was very cool to see him kick so much *** in Inception, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing him kick Christian Bale's *** in DKR.
I can tell you one thing, though. No one is going to work harder, and no one is more about the process than Tom Hardy. Going after Heath Ledger's Joker is not enviable, but they couldn't have made a better choice, IMHO.
50 Claws/Regen Scrap, 50 Energy/Energy Blaster, 50 SS/Invuln Tanker, 50 Robot/Traps MasterMind, 50 Fire/Kin Controller, 50 Ninja/Ninja Stalker, 50 Elec/Shield Brute, 50 Elec/Time Controller
I wonder if Nolan is drawing more inspiration from the comics than we give him credit for. Bane's later career involves a nonsexual but intense relationship with Scandal Savage, who is pretty much a lesbian version of Catwoman.
Nolan could make this an incredibly rich character tale by splicing Catwoman and Scandal together. Bane is a drug addict; Catwoman/Scandal helps him through his withdrawal. Catwoman then goes out to steal or clean up the city or both. She runs afoul of Batman, and that draws Bane's ire...
This could work. There's a lot of ways it could work. I think Nolan has a lot of credit with the fans, so I'm sure everyone will be happy to wait and see.
