List of Guardian Global Channels?

Is there a list of global channels for Guardian somewhere? I joined a couple on Virtue and it was the best decision I ever made. Lots of times when I'm puttering around on the weekend, someone will broadcast for interest in a TF or SF and if I'm in the mood and have the time, I'll jump in.

I'd love to find a similar channel(s) in Guardian, since about 1/3 of my characters are here, including one of only two 50s I have. I'd like to play them more, but I'm too lazy and or introverted to start my own teams, so more often than not, they just languish in superhero limbo.

So, please give me your suggestions/preferences for global channels I can join for regular, yet casual teaming for TFs, Trials, and other junk.

Thanks!

The Guardian Channel is one of the bigger one, also there is Guardian Teams, and Level 50.

There may be more but those 3 are the ones that I use or my friends use the most.

I think all 3 you will have to be given chat permissions from a Moderator/OP.

The two major channels are Guardian (public, but you'll need to send a tell to a channel moderator to get unsilenced) and Level 50 which is an invite-only channel. There's also Guardian Incarnates primarily for the incarnate content, Guardian's Team and to a lesser extent Guardian TF.

Those are the main channels I monitor; Guardian & Level 50 are the two busiest.

Thanks guys. Unfortunately, I tried all three suggested and got the following messages:

"Unable to join channel 'Guardian' because it is at full capacity."

"Unable to join private channel 'Level 50'."

"Channel 'Guardian Teams' does not exist. Would you like to create it?"

Looks like I'm hosed, at least temporarily.

ETA: I didn't try Guardian Incarnates, "Guardian's Team", or Guardian TF. I'll look into those later.

You can also join us in the Manor

/chanjoin "Ravenwolf Manor"

We're always looking for more people to broaden our teaming options.

Try it again now.

Level 50 is at full capacity. I lost the channel and when i asked for a reinvite i was told it's full. The auto-kick feature is not working. It is a private channel that requires invite.

IF the channel isn't full is there anyway I can get a invite?

Sorry it's Guardian Team, not Teams.

I thought I haven't been that active in the Guardian global channel community; I just got into a few and stopped there...however, it looks like I happened to blunder into all of those (except the new Incarnate channel). That's some quality blundering!

Yep, for the most part team and TF formation happens in Guardian and Level 50; they're the two most popular.

I'm curious. Is the Level 50 channel made up of primarily Guardian players? When I see teams forming on the Level 50 channel, it's almost always on Guardian.

In my case, whenever I form a team, I usually start advertising in the Guardian channel (Guardian being my home base). I will then broadcast a repeat on the Level 50 channel (with an addendum that I'm on Guardian).

Is the Guardian notation even necessary? Do any of you on the Level 50 channel find it helpful to know that I'm starting the team in Guardian? Or do you just assume that the team is on Guardian?

Most of us assume that it is starting on Guardian. My advice would be to state if it is on a different channel.

Indeed; all of us on Level 50 are Guardian players at least to some extent; while I do monitor the channel on my Pinnacle characters I would assume anything on Level 50 to refer to Guardian unless otherwise stated.

Can someone fill me in on what the bind is that causes your character's name/level/AT/powersets/location/etc to show up when you post in the global chat channels?

Thanks!

/bind <key> "send "channel name in quotes" [$name, Lvl $level, $archetype]<put space here between bracket and closing quote> "

So...

/bind Q "send "Ravenwolf Manor" [$name, Lvl $level, $archetype] "

binds Q

Press Q and type message "Heyas All and Boogedy Boogedy!!™", hit enter and

Shadow Ravenwolf [Doc Ravenwolf, Lvl 50, Defender] Heyas All and Boogedy Boogedy!!™

There ya go

(The Manor is public btw. Those who haven't joined should feel free to join us if you're looking for teams, TFs, Badging, Incarnate Stuff, etc.)

Thanks SR. I'm having a problem though - I used the letter G as my bind key, and when I hit the letter G it immediately posts my name, lvl and AT in the channel before I even type anything in the text box. What am I doing wrong?

The bind as he listed it actually does send your name, level, and archetype immediately. What you want is to open chat, not send something. The two binds I have in my standard 'chatbind.txt' file for loading binds to send to the Guardian and Level 50 channels are:

/bind alt+/ "beginchat /send "level 50" [$name] "
/bind ctrl+/ "beginchat /send guardian [$name] "

Ravenwolf left out the 'beginchat' that tells CoX to bring focus to the chat pane. You can, of course, add more information than just '$name' if you choose.

Doh!

/bind Q "beginchat /send "Ravenwolf Manor" [$name, Lvl $level, $archetype] "

Yeah, I haven't been in game in a bit and haven't really dealt with creating the bind in awhile so I forgot the "beginchat" part. I remembered pressing Q in my mind and seeing the text in the chatbox.

@srmalloy - seeing your use of alt+ and control+ reminds me that I need to tweak a few other binds of mine. Thanks
