The new location the servers were moved to in July 2010 seem to be a bit more unstable than the old ones and have shown a relatively higher load since the change (even on the lowest population servers)... so it's not really a clear comparison.

To be honest though, for some of us, like myself, it feels like the population for the server hasn't declined at all. I regularly am on tfs/sfs with a group of friends, and when one takes a break from the game there's usually someone else to take their place. So for me, it hasn't seemed like the server is lacking in terms of population count.
Perhaps the overall population amount has dwindled over the year, but I don't feel it isn't something that requires immediate attention and/or a server merge. I like the fact that Champion has a smaller population; makes for a closer community, one where it feels like everyone knows everyone else.

Funny thing is Champion is like the 5th-6th most active server though out of them all currently, #1 being the greatest.|

Also Server Merges more then likely will never happen just for the simple fact of if they did do that then they would have to make sure that all the ppl with the same names and same SG names get some sort of free name/gobal name change, and no 1 wants that.

I can only speak from my experience, I do not have any trouble finding teams Red,Blue, or Gold on Champion. I hit SG Channels, G-Friends, BMT. ( I rarely PuG ) I have to try a little harder for a low level villian team. If there were only 10 people on the whole server, you only need 1 person to join you to have a team.
Are you willing to join in on what others are doing or do you want people to join you? Are you willing to bring what the team needs or only what you want to play? Do you pay attention when people ask for help? Are you a pleasant person to team with?
People who are more inclined to complain about not having a team , than to organize something of their own. Don't really fit in here anyway do they?
If you can't find a team on Champion , you probably aren't trying very hard or you aren't a person people want to hang out with. Be nice and try harder.
I would think not being able to find a team in Broadcast has more to do with the popularity of our Global channels. I don't even have broadcast in my tabs. Is there any server that has a huge villain population? My understanding is that Red side is less popular all around. If there is a Villiancentric server and thats your thing why wouldn't you go there?

I really didn't intend that part for the OP, but more for the people complaining who clearly do know better.
Just sayin...If someone doesn't know where to look asking a question rather than suggesting huge game changes might be better place to start and would read less "The world revolves around me"

With the introduction of GR, ive seen an increase of activity on Champion, at least blue-side. I think many are migrating villains over to the blue-side also.
As for the champion-crazies, just take a breath and dont go overboard with someone's lousy opinions. Remember, yours are just as valid as their's, and dont carry more water, though you'd think you have more ownership. Its alright if one's opinion is not truly representative of the server or not. Someone's opinion cannot be reversed thru brow-beating and you shouldnt try to shove your own opinion down someone's throat, cuz your no better.
We all know how good our server is. It goes w/o saying. If a person wanna talk bad about it, obviously they're not deeply involved and only serves to turn the other vidiots away. Im plenty happy with the peeps i get to team with presently. Those who migrated out of Champion obviously were the fodder who are transient anyways. No loss.... only gain
