I need to feed that pesky blue bar...

I've been playing the game for around a year now, and have yet to get a Scrapper past 15 or so. I just continue to lose interest in them, for some reason I currently do not know. About a week ago, I decided to give it another try, and rolled what (so far) appears to be the most endurance-heavy combination possible. MA/Dark. I'm sitting at... 24 right now, I believe, and have not taken the damage aura yet, because as it stands right now, it takes me about two mobs (on a team, mind you) to completely drain my endurance, and need to either rest, or pop several blues. Everything is slotted for end reduction at the moment. (I think I have two in each toggle, and one per attack. I need MORE SLOTS! lol)

Is there anything else I can do, short of starting on low-level IO's (that I don't really have the money for) to at least *partially* cure the problem?

So far, I'm loving the combination, but... Running out of endurance ALL THE TIME is starting to annoy me. Even Speed Boost doesn't completely fix it.

Have you put an Endurance Modification IO in Stamina to increase your recovery? End Mod recipes aren't as common as some others but you can usually acquire them through regular game play.

What makes dark so end heavy is the Heal, it is something like 33 end. So slotting that with end is a must. Now I know you didn't want to get in to some IO but Theft of Essence: Chance for +Endurance in Dark Regeneration can help a lot.

When you start to get more slots into your attacks your endurance will be better. It looks like you're doing everything you can with just SO so if you really want to help your blue bar you will need to get some IOs, like Numina's and Miracle +Recovery.

Dark Armor sucks up a lot of endurance due to its many toggles. Without good slotting, it will always take up lots of endurance, unfortunately.

If you have some time, do some tip missions to affirm your alignment (i.e. hero tips), and then go for some A-merits, so you can get low level Miracle: Recovery, Numina: Regen/Recovery, Theft of Essence: Chance for Endurance, and possibly a Performance Shifter: Chance for Endurance. Remember to get the lowest level ones so you can slot them sooner.

Miracle and Numina go into Health, Performance Shifter will be the fourth slot in Stamina, and Theft of Essence goes into Dark Regeneration.

Bear in mind that although doing it this way will barely cost you anything (in fact, just the salvage, which can be got with AE tickets if you don't wanna pay the superhigh costs it can sometimes reach on the market, and low level crafting cost), it will take time (two days to affirm, after that two days per A-merit). Three of the IOs I listed are all at least 75 million plus inf at the lowest levels on the market if you were to go the option of bidding for them, which is why I prefer A-merits for the ones I do want (plus I feel uncomfortable handing over 100 million inf in one go to some random person I don't know, haha).

However, it doesn't mean you have to do it all at once, just do it at your own pace. Remember your other characters can do tip missions for A-merits to get their own recipes, and pass them by email (send it to your global name, remember to add the @) to the character you wish to have it on.

I find that villain side tip missions tend to go a bit faster than hero side tip missions, although that may just be me, hehe.

If you have 2 end reductions in each toggle, you should use the slots for the 2nd end reductions elsewhere (or make them Resist SOs if you have less than 3 resists in the toggles). One end reduction per toggle is plenty.

It is good to have 1 end reduction slotted in your attacks, but do you also have 1 Acc, 3 Dam? If you have less then 3 damage slotted, you are wasting endurance and if you miss you are wasting endurance.

Do not use Dark Regen at the end of a fight when only one or two enemies are left, unless it is the difference between living and dying. Save it to use after the alpha of the next spawn. This will require learning how much an alpha will do to you (which will vary from enemy type to enemy type) so that you do not jump into a spawn and die before you get to use DR.

Death Shroud can save you endurance if you are willing to turn it off and on throughout a mission. Think of it as an attack rather than a toggle you click on and ignore. Turn it on jump into a spawn, when you are down to one enemy left turn it off, and finally turn it back on before jumping into the next spawn (or only use it every other spawn, because it doesn't always recharge fast enough).

Once only one or two enemies are left, think about waiting for a cheaper attack to recharge to finish off an enemy who is near dead. Using Thunder or Storm Kick instead of CS or CAK will save you ~30% or more endurance if you can kill it with the cheaper attack.

As a side effect of our sped up animations, MA burns a lot more END than it did before for a given time frame.

I found that frankenslotting the attacks for end red even at level 25 on my latest MA helped alot.

Note that it's [still] possible to frankenslot single-target attacks cheaply, and level 25 is a good level to do so -- I can hit the ED cap for damage and recharge while also getting acceptable accuracy and end reduction. This is because melee sets offer an unusual amount of diversity; I haven't managed to do as well with the ranged sets, the PBAoE sets are too expensive to be considered "cheap," and of course it's out of the question with the small, bad selection of targeted AoE sets.

Single-target melee is, however, the strong point of Martial Arts.
