KM/: Scrapper or Stalker?

So I'm trying to decide which AT to pick, but I'm having a hard time finding a thread that lists the difference or pros/cons between the two. I've heard that CS is different between the two, but havent found out why, specifically. I plan on having a KM/WP scrapper or a KM/Nin Stalker in case anyone is curious. I'd appreciate any input!

Similarities:
-Hmm, each AT has a chance to deal double damage with some of their attacks >_>
-The power Concentrated Strike, has a 20% chance or instantly recharging Power Siphon and Build up (however, Brute or Tankers do not get this)

Differences:
-Scrappers get Power Siphon, a self buff that boosts ToHit a little and makes all of your attacks (except your AoE ones) buff your damage if they connect. The effect lasts 20 seconds and each damage buff lasts 10sec from when you gain it (also applies an extra -dmg debuff if I'm not mistaken)
-Scrappers get a moderate damage narrow cone knockback attack (lots of players don't like it) called Repulsing Torrent.
-Scrappers get Confront
-Stalkers get Assassin's Strike instead of Repulsing Torrent.
-Stalkers get Build up instead of Power Siphon.
-Stalkers get Placate instead of Confront.

I'd say they're both worth a try playing. I don't have any experience with the Scrapper version (only have a KM Tanker and Stalker) but I'd say they each have their perks. A couple of quirks with the Stalker version: Assassin's Strike casts nearly a second faster than the other stalker sets, Build up seems to cast nearly a second slower though and Burst (the PBAoE attack) has a 100% chance of critical on all targets from hide instead of 50% chance for non-single target attacks like the other sets.

One point of correction, Leo...the Burst power (the pbaoe) power DOES work with Power Siphon. It does apply a -dmg debuff and applies a damage buff to you. Hopped in game and checked it. The only power that PS doesn't work with is Repulsing Torrent. All other KM attacks apply the buff/debuff.

Go with the Kinetic Melee/Ninjitsu Stalker and you will not be disappointed. I made one as soon as Going Rogue when live and at first I had no desire to make a Kinetic Melee character and thought it would be a waste of a set, but after playing on a Stalker it is one of my favorite combos. Cap your defense, have some recharge for your heal and just enjoy the utter chaos you will be able to cause. Hide + Burst is absolute heaven since its a fast recharging power that gives you critical attacks in an area of effect. I compare its damage to Fire Sword Circle which is one of the best area of effect melee powers available.

I can't really speak about the Scrapper version since I have never really had an interest in playing a KM Scrapper, but I love love love my Stalker.

Good choice. XD

I have a KinMelee Stalker, Scrap and Tank and the Stalker is (by far-) my favorite of the three. PS is an interesting mechanic once you get the timing of it down, but I find I prefer the Stalker's more straight-foreward BU.

I've got a KM/SD scrapper and KM/NINJ stalker, while the scrapper hits like a truck, i really don't like how the powers lack any flow when used in a chain.

The stalker is built for PVP but is still really fun, Build up pwns PS imho.

This. And I normally hate Stalkers but my Kin/Nin is what changed my opinion. Enjoy.
