Quick Bind question

Is it possible to make a bind to target a dead teammate (for power execution, like Veng)?

Thanks!

Yes.
IIRC correctly the syntax would be something like "targetcustomnext teammate defeated", but i might be wrong.

I tried that, it simply targets the closest available teammate =/

Edit: Regardless of weather they're dead or alive.

Hmmm, looking...
Try /bind <key> "target_teammate_next defeated"

On a Psyche TF ATM, can't try it. Will do when I get the chance, thanks in advance.

Because if I'm not mistaken, Schismatrix's bind would target anything categorized at "teammate" OR "defeated".

Just looking at slash commands at Paragon Wiki, I'm not sure if this is possible. I'm not an expert on binds though.

All "target next" commands are proximity commands. They target the closest thing, and if you hit it again will move to the "next closest" thing outward from yourself.

"teammate defeated" should work. No idea why it's targeting live teammates.

ETA: according to the wiki page, the "target_custom_near" command will accept the "defeated" parameter.
So, maybe "target_custom_near defeated" would work. But it would not necessarily designate a teammate.
'Course, I just usually look at my team list and hit the shift+teammate# to target the one I want.

Normally the various targeting binds allow argument stacking where the implied link between arguments is "and" not "or", so adding more arguments restricts the number of valid targets, not expands it.

Found a link to a site in a bind thread that has this:
Quote:
Argument Stacking

The custom targeting commands permit more than one argument to be stacked - such as:
target_custom_near friend alive
which will target only blue- and green-reticle characters who have at least one hit point.
As nearly as I can tell, combining the pet, teammate, friend, and enemy keywords with alive and defeated works just like you think it would:
target_custom_near friend alive
will target green or blue reticle figures who have 1 hit point or more.
target_custom_near enemy defeated
will target enemies who have zero hit points.
Actually, those examples are backwards from any useful ones, so let's flip them around:
target_custom_near teammate defeated
will target the nearest teammate who's defeated and needs rez or tp out of the battle.
target_custom_near enemy alive
will target only enemies who have not been defeated - which would be useful for a grapple bind written with the custom targeting commands, since there's no point in a scrapper locking on to a defeated foe.

i've used "targetcustomnext enemy defeated" in the past for Soul Extraction targeting, so i'd normally expect "targetcustomnext teammate defeated" to work, but allowed bind syntax is not always consistent or obvious.

The one I use is:
"targetcustomnext friend defeated"

It works well during mothership raids when the person who is dead is not on my team. It targets the nearest dead ally.
