Holiday Cheer and Spirit

I've only gotten these on one character so far this event. None of my characters that were around during the last holiday event has gotten them.

I could have sworn that we always got them once per event... not once ever. I even have some that don't have the Festive badge. My stalker this morning had the gold medals for the ski slopes but not Festive and no temp powers.

i have at least one character that did not get the holiday powers this year. the only thing i can think is that he still had an unused debt protection temp power from last holiday event...

Several of my characters are having this issue as well.

I know it used to give the powers each year. I have one I rarely play that still has the Spirit debt protection from my first event AND a spirit temp power from last year that I never used.

But only my brand new characters are getting anything this year. I'll be sure to /bug it in game tonight.

And here's a new bug. You can use holiday cheer on a mastermind pet now which consumes the power and doesn't do anything.

No, the problem is that if you ever participated in a previous Winter event you don't get the temp powers. I have plenty of characters that have long since run out of Holiday Spirit that aren't getting a new set of temp powers this year. I only made that example as proof we used to get them every year (otherwise I couldn't have both at the same time).

I /bug'd it last night. I'm guessing there is something on the character that keeps them from receiving them more than once a year and they forgot to flag us all as being in a new year. With such a short event this year they'd have to fix it like today or tomorrow to make it worthwhile. I hope they do because I've always liked the Cheer power.

It must be more convoluted, one of my oldest characters (my first 50) logged in and got 2 temp power notices. I remember giving holiday cheer with him a couple times.

I think it might be tied to the Festive badge. All of my characters with it did not get the temp powers and the ones without got them.

You are supposed to get the Festive badge as soon as you login. If someone doesn't have the badge (like my stalker) that's also a bug. If an old character just got the badge this year then they weren't logged in during last year's event.

So far only 3 characters of mine have gotten the temp powers and all were created this year. I need to login with my new Widow and see if she gets them but I bet she does. Wow, only 4 all year? I'm slowing down on the alts. LOL

I haven't heard back and with only a bit more than a week left I don't imagine anything is going to get fixed. None of my friends have even noticed or seem to care and TPTB seem to have the same attitude. *shrugs*

I've run into this issue as well. Only new characters are getting the Spirit and Cheer temp powers.

Also sometimes even with the new characters there is no "Temp Power Received/Badge Received" dialog.

Not entirely true. Some of my old characters who have Toy Collector (so I know they participated in previous winter events) got the powers and some didn't. I can understand if you still have one of the powers (I usually hold onto debt protection until higher levels). Debt is such a non-issue anymore though who cares?

I am actually more annoyed about the Cheer. I like giving it out in the middle of summer or at Halloween and seeing people with the Santa rocket!

I hope they fix this in the next week or so while the event is still going on. I kind of feel disconnected from the event without all the gift-giving.
