opinions, tips and general help please!
IMO, the best idea is to head down to the appropriate AT forum and ask there. If you could use Mid's to post your current build, even if it's not completely slotted, that would also help because it would show what powers you have and how your character is looks currently.
P.S. If you have some idea of what sort of IO build you want--common IOs, frankenslotted, set bonuses--mention that so people know what to recommend. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, explain that you're completely new to IOs and try to find out what the recommendations are for MM slotting. (I know zippo about MM slotting, but I'm sure the people who hang around the MM forum could give you good advice.)

Since you mostly solo i would also suggest looking at the market forums for tips on using the market to get what you want once you decide on a build approach.
Even with casual use it's not hard to get what you need through the market if you just keep in mind some of the basic advice in the market forums.
i'd suggest starting with a basic IO build and/or Frankenslotting inexpensive set pieces initially and adding the higher end sets and IOs as you go. Of course the first thing is to slot out the whole thing SOs to get you up and running. A decent build using only SOs can handle almost anything the game throws at you on the base settings.

i make stuff...
well I will deffinetly look up some market guides...
I can't load mid's onto my computer(plus i'm @ work using phone to post right now, lol), so basically on my necro/dark, which I am more interested in speccing, has all seconday powers except black hole, for primary I didn't take dark blast or gloom, soul mastery with shield, immob., soul storm, and opressive gloom, assault, tactics, I think that's it. If you still think I should repost in the MM forum, I will.

You can use Titan Sentinel to export your current build rather than trying to duplicate it by hand in mids.

But please note the other posts regarding Titan Sentinel. I've never used it, but it sounds like it would make it easier to recreate your build for the MM forum.

If you need an Inf infusion, _23X_ says all you have to do is ask.

Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
ok, so first i'll start out by saying "I am an altoholic". I have many characters in their 20's, even more in their teens, I only have 2 50's that I haven't played in... I don't know how long. At least til just a couple days ago. It was brutal. I have a fire/rad she faceplanted on an even lvl mob, and a necro/dark who did fair enough against ghost widow before he too faceplanted. Neither are io-specced and some of their powers don't have enhancements @ all. I have no idea how I did this.
I mostly solo, so my qestion is this... What is the best way to get my characters specced out in an IO build (expensive or not)?
