An Idea for the Info Terminals...

The Information Terminals throughout CoH are blank. They used to be a way of seeing which players had done what throughout the server (or the game, I never was too interested to find out 100%), but after a while they broke and that statistic finder was scrapped out of them. Now they're just blank, with nothing to display.

The CoH tutorial points out that if a player needs help understanding what to do, they can turn to the information terminals for help.

How about they do that now? I know we can press "H" on our keyboard for a Help Menu, but would it really be so wrong to load the Help Menu into the Information Terminals, too?

I would just like to see something done with them, because as they stand now, they just seem like an eyesore to me.

It's befitting that someone who actually had to use the Info Terminals to advance themselves in the Tutorial, for some strange reason, might think to look for one for the same purpose in the regular zones!

I think they need to standardize the actual Info Terminal look as well so there is no confusion, between the ones in the tutorial vs zone versions, if this is done.

Maybe the devs can follow this train of thought...and even apply them in Praetoria!

I think they would be the perfect place for city news! Vignette news stories of "Hero XYZ brought in the villianous Badguy #3"! It could be done news paper fashion so it would not need any animations, though some would be welcome. It could also be used to drop Tips by finding them in a news article.

I never really got them either. Makes a good "go click on this" for the tutorial but after that, they have no purpose. I remember once seeing my name on there for beating the most BP's in Talos a long time ago (surpise I was badging). How about they display the top times for local or all Task Force, or perhaps a place to see Lore on the local enemies.

I think they need to fix them period. It was nice seeing who did what and it would also be a nice place for them to add an official character and badge tracker since the city vault never happened. We have alot of nice player created stat sites such as city info tracker but the game really needs its own official tracker.

I suggested this back in Summer of '04. Yep, still nothin'.

I think making the Info Terminals bring up the Help Window is a great idea!
