Two Veteran reward suggestions:

Reward the first

Your long fight against injustice honors those who came before you. Capes are now unlocked for all characters.

X months out and still alive. Lord Recluse is impressed. Capes are now unlocked for all characters.

Reward the second

After X months, your mastery of your powers is unmatched. Auras are now unlocked for all characters.

After X months out, even the Entities are sitting up and taking notice of you. Auras are now unlocked for all characters.

Lord Recluse is so impressed with my level 1 hero that he gives me capes the second I step into Paragon City?

Sorry, I just had to say that cause I'm a smartalec. But in all seriousness, what I said still is valid. Say you do create a new villain character, fresh out of the Zig, or whatever your backstory for how you ended up at Mercy Island, and the big guy, ruler of the Rogue Islands, scourge of Paragon City, super villain extraordinaire is impressed with my brute who can punch someone kinda hard, named Supp3rKill? Doesn't sound very plausible...

But for the reward itself, in a non-RP/fit-this-feature-into-storymode thing, I wouldn't mind it, and would definitely use it, but I don't think it's necessary. The cape and aura missions aren't hard.. annoying sometimes? Sure. But not that big a deal... to me anyway.

Even with the ferry merge getting a cape redside is why too much of a pain.

There's a vet reward that grants a shoulder cape, and I own all those booster packs that have awesome capes I can wear at level 1. Unlocking bought capes and auras for vets would be awesome.

The other Vet reward that I think is long past due is the Ghost Slaying Axe as a reward. The Devs already let us have 3 or the 4 vet temp attacks, they should just let us choose the 4th.

You mean like all those characters wearing all kinds of capes and auras at level 1 now?

I am for global unlocks, except for the capes and auras, but if you get this as a new vet reward for being here over 6 years, it isn't that big a deal any more.

Yeah it wouldn't be a big deal to people like me who have around 79 months into this game. But making all capes and auras unlock at level 1 would probably cause no end of whining/screaming from almost anyone who didn't have that much time racked up.

Basically I'm convinced there's really no way the Devs can seriously give us anything "cool" for a Vet award again because there are people playing now who'll realistically never get a chance to get them.

I still want them to go back and add a "towel cape" with a tied knot up front for the 42 month vet reward.

They could have a portable tailor power and/or a auction power.

That would be cool and useful. They would probably only work 1/day.
