Yes, some people do still pvp on Protector, I would be one of them. I am ready and willing to pvp pretty much any time that I am online, which sadly is most often late at night and in the mornings as I work a night shift.
Every Thursday (mostly) we do Thursday Night Fights, which are fun and friendly arena events that new people are welcome and encouraged to join in. We usually all meet in the pocket D arena at 8pm EST, though you can join the events from anywhere by going to menu-arena.
Most Weeks the TNF is sponsored by our SG, Innocent Wrath, and we give out prizes for events and for new people who try hard. In past weeks we have given out: Miracle +recovery, Numina +regen/recovery, LOTG +recharge, as well as many purple IOs and a list of other random-but-expensive IOs. We also are aiming to give out 50 million inf each week to the person we dub as "new person of the week."
This is all an attempt to get more people to come give pvp a chance instead of just ignoring it as it seems a great portion of the CoX population does.
So if you are interested in pvp you should come to Pocket D on thursdays at 8pm EST!

I PvP some myself, usually at TNFs on Thursdays I don't work.
I don't mind PvPing, I'll help farm for PVP badges and recipies I like to go to the area ever so often for the fun of it. Mind you I just came back to protector a week ago.
