Kinetic Melee's Burst: no KB sets?
Quote:
I suspect it's an oversight.
I spent a couple of hours digging through just about every KM thread since the set's been introduced, in an attempt to see if Burst's denial of KM sets had already been addressed. Having not found anything, I was wondering if anyone who was in the i18 Beta knew whether or not this was an intentional design decision, or an oversight?

The plastic tips at the end of shoelaces are called aglets. Their true purpose is sinister.

Oh wow, that would be pretty cool if you could slot a force feedback recharge proc in there, since with some decent recharge burst's recharge is about the same as the duration of the proc.
Active (Freedom): Setna (Ice/Psi Dom), Arram (WP/KM Tank), Tesmiel (Elec/SS Tank), Astredax (Robot/Dark Mastermind), Operative Vidali (melee fortunata)
Retired (Virtue): Gaav (Inv/EM Tank), Baqra (Fire/SS Tank)
Probably because of that sitting Knockback IOs in Burst would change its effect to Knockback instead of the Knockdown intended.
But what if that's what you want it to do? Also doesn't stop from slotting Dragon's Tail with knockback (assuming I remember correctly).

Why would that matter? Tremor, Fault and Footstomp can be slotted that way if one desires, in addition to Twilights example.

In fact Burst sticks out like a sore thumb in that it's a PBAOE with knockdown which isn't allowed to slot Knockback Set IOs
I'm pretty sure the proc effect is on a global 10 second cooldown. Even if you could use the power every 5 seconds, it'll still only be able to be up at most every 10 seconds.

I was under the impressions procs would go off every time you fired a power, and that the 10 second cooldown was for when they were slotted into a toggle.

Anyway, with hasten and a little global recharge it recharges in 5 seconds on my tank, so with even more recharge maybe you could get it down to firing it off every 6 or 7 seconds.
