yeah that I think was my main beef with it. Watching it again, it was just the last few minutes that killed it for me.

Good call, Lothic! Right on the money!
Well it just seemed like the classic joke the South Park guys would pull.
They made too much out of MBC being "pointless" not to turn it around on us.

I don't know about all the anime references, but I know for a fact the third episode "relationship" between Cartman and Cthulhu was a direct ripoff of the 1952 Merrie Melodies cartoon "Feed The Kitty".

MY main beef, if I had one, wouldn't be so much that they don't explain that the kids all forget that he dies, but that no one explains how HE COMES BACK TO LIFE OVER AND OVER!

But they did explain how he comes back and even referenced it to the Nambla episode. To truly kill Kenny you have to kill his mom.

I thought they were going to insinuate that Kenny is an immortal spirit from the same dimension as Cthulu due to his parent's probably being suckered into a ritual during those meetings. Hmm, actually i think thats heavily insinuated thinking back on the clues they gave out, especially about Cthulu could possibly kill Kenny for real according to the 'prophecy'.

Did you even watch the episode? They DID explain it.
