I wouldn't make a WP scrapper... they don't have the Hp cap to make the most of the percentage based heals or regeneration.

Km I would agree with "until it's nerfed" but if you are going scrapper, Regen is pretty much the only option.

Yes, really. The things you'll learn on a blaster (timing your attacks, kiting, etc) will come in very handy in learning other characters, such as doms and corrs. Never did I say they will make you good at them, just that it will help you learn them.

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

Its become clear that perhaps this Tokyo has never been in on truly completive 8v8 team.

In reality post DR you probably want 4 blasters, especially considering the other team should be cycling your damage dealers and taking at least 1 of them out of the spike by forcing them to evade, hiber or killing them. *Unless* you are running a disruption heavy team, which definitely isn't for everyone/always the most effective.
There are far less options for disruption than there were- storm teams are so nerfed you basically need to be MMs to survive, doms require a great deal more survival skills, a ton of options are no longer viable.

It's ironic that the evforts to make PvP more open have made it more cookie-cutter.

Infinity and Victory mostly
dUmb, etc.
lolz PvP anymore, Market PvP for fun and profit

This.

Its strange when Forts hit red side it made vill ladder teams starting to practice with and beat hero ladder teams. All people really were wanting was better epics for red side and the playing field would have been almost equal. If they would have then done SOME of i13s changes it would have opened up team choices by a great amount. Now the level of strategy involved in 8v8 matches has been reduced from chess to checkers.
Now the new school of PvPers that run around in zone or get top kills in a KB or two think they can talk like they know how to play chess. Makes me sad.
Upper level PvP used to be like presidential debate and i13 is the Carl Rove of CoX.

If your pain doesn't have time to lock the target and buff, that's a bad pain considering Enforced Morale lasts 90 seconds as well as painbringer and WoP; even on an 8v8 team that gives the corr a fair amount of time to lock and spike.
Psy just probably forgot the other team won't be targeting and attacking any of your teammates. Simple mistake.

We should really stop pretending like PvP had a lot to it pre-i13. It wasn't "chess". Nor was it the "checkers" that we see today. It fell somewhere in the middle, where the gameplay was still pretty simple but the metagame (builds, team setups, etc) was much more complicated.

People could still win via faceroll back then (Fire/EM + stacked EMP buffs anyone?). That's why we wanted changes and were initially excited for the i13 "extra attention" promise. We whined just as much pre i13 as we do now, it's just that now that we've seen such a dramatic new low come out of such an exciting promise, the situation seems hopeless.

Some of what happened in i13 took the game in a positive direction (the changes to control timers, taunt, animation-->damage conversion). It's just that the homogenization left such a bad taste that we didn't care.

So here's to hoping. Not for a revert of all the changes, but for a revision that makes things better than they've ever been.

@TheBro

Ya I agree about the "some where in the middle" statement. I always said that PvP in CoX was somewhere in the middle of a FPS and a RTS, because the skills needed were similar. Hand eye coordination and multi tasking ability to name the big two. Now its a button masher. They removed anything elegant from the system that took skill to learn and enjoy and gave us back a system for the lowest common denominator.
