decent episode ... but Veritas had too much feline focus (that's more of Bast's motiff) the whole "lie like a dog" and "cats got your tongue" things were kind'a kewl though ... and purrr-fect explaination for Sam ... it all makes sense now, as well as a nice lead in for something for Cas to do... and great red herring with the horn (was it?) also i'm expecting to see Kali at some point in the future, since they made so much of a point to save her at Gabe's request in "Hammer of the Gods" last season.
A slow start to the season is starting to pay as the momentum builds. I was afraid they wouldn't have any where to go after the Apocalypse, but never fear, Sera and Crew are on the case and bringing the goods.

lol, i think the funnyest moment that episode was Dean's double-take in the bar
Yeha that was very LOL-worthy.
And the Eye popper of the episode was what next episode will be about.

I loved the episode, but hated how the clip for next week completely revealed what was wrong with Sam.
Sams soul being missing should have been kept out of the clip, and then shock us with it during the episode.
Clips should be teasers to get people interested in watching the episode, instead of giving away major plot points.
Movie trailers make the same mistake by revealing too much.
