I'm pretty sure you can already change the default title screen if you so desire. I'm not sure how but I recall a while back someone made widescreen versions of the zone loading screens (before the devs fixed them all anyway).
Doh never mind me then. Always seems like on the rare occasion that I do have a good idea its already been done. damnit

Maybe a new chest and cape emblem/logo?
Something additional should be granted 
In addition to three slots and a badge?
Well, you get access to an unlocked AT....no, wait, they dropped that to L20, so you could get it your first weekend.
How about access to Incarnate abilities?

And how about some unique IOs that only level 50s can slot. Call them ultra rares or something like that.

How about immunity to debt?
Like, you could still get it to count towards badges, but it wouldn't detract from your Patrol XP, nor slow your advancement.
I have no idea how hard this would be but as a reward for getting to 50 I think it would be cool to be able to place your character on the login screen. I'm not sure how a tool like that would work but my guess would be you take a screenshot and then tell the game to use that screenshot as the background.
One of the best things about this game is the level of customization available so why not add one more thing to the list.
