Guide to convert EU to NA client?

Hey guys, is there a guide around for this? I've copied my eu files over to na folder but the updater is just trying to overwrite every single file eg. 'fixing files:[ xxxx/xxxx.xxx ]' .

I'm on the week trial atm and low population of EU servers aside, I'm thoroughly enjoying the game...

Wow, loads of views and no response .. Is there anywhere that i could download the NA client from without having the updater download it for me? I'm getting a download rate of 16.5k/sec on a 50mb connection. I'm in desperate need or a mirror here..

Surely someone could shed some light on the situation?

Simply put, no. The updater is what downloads the game.

You might try BillZBubba's Guide for Moving CoH or Installing Test to copy your EU version over. But there may still be differences between the two builds that will require the updater to fix things. At the very least, remove the .checksum file before running the updater.

I can't help with the client move, but I might be able to help with the low download speeds. You could try altering the port used by the updater, which can make a big difference to dl speed.

These are the four options you can force by setting the target properties:

"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -port 80
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -port 6994
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -port 13094
"C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\CohUpdater.exe" -port 23094
