I have a DM/SR that I'm loving to bits.

However, I have a question regarding slotting: Using only SO's and assuming I have taken the /sr power Quickness how many Recharge Reduction SO's do I need to slot to have PB become perma?

Thx in advance for the help

You need one +3 SO to get about 7 second downtime, 2 +0 SO to get an overlap of 13 seconds.

These values are with Quickness, I assume.

You can get by with one slot if you throw 1 standard IO in there if you have even a few recharge bonuses. I always do 2 slots cause its nice to have some overlap. You can time your overlap just right and not have to run at imp during ITF for example. PVP its probably nice to have good recharge in it as well, but who the hell knows, been awhile since ive been pvp'n with my ma/sr.

Yes, I answered according to the criteria he put on, ie with quickness taken into account

I can confirm that. 2 slotted gives you some overlap, one slotted is not enough.

There are also a lot of things in the game that cause a recharge debuff, which means you can have a significant downtime for PB if you've been hit by slows and some immobilizes.

I also find that in the heat of combat you can "lock out" autofired PB if you queue your attacks (which I do all the time). If you've got it too finely timed you may drop PB and if there are any holds stacked on you'll get held.

I prefer IOs myself, but, IIRC, two or three will do it with about a 15 sec overlap depending on the IOs level. In higher levels it may only take one IO.
