Would any of these toons work for pvp?

If you want a viable toon that you can really have fun on, people will want you on the team, etc. Then roll a blaster, Psi/Em being the best out there right now but Fire/Em and Sonic/Em are very good also or a stalker, a */wp stalker due to them being very easy to hp cap with minimal accolades due to high pain tolerance. Elec/wp or spines/wp, really the primary doesn't matter since all you need is the buildup, AS, and placate and then mako patron for sharks, again lots of stalker builds in these forums, just search. Once you get the feel of PvP on one of these toons you can bring in one of your not as optimal toons, and will know some of the PvP mechanics and one of them may end up being fun for you to play but if you start off on one of them, you may get very discouraged and not want to do it any more. Oh and to answer the other question, the mace/wp brute...not good in PvP, I wouldn't even recommend it.|

You could make a dark/rad defender work, but you'd be better off with a sonic/therm corr, fire/therm, rad/therm, dark/cold corr, cold/dark defender, etc.
If you don't mind hanging back on a team and playing the griefer. Rad/Sonic defender. Sonic/Rad corrs are fun and they'll be screaming like little girls on vent to kill you.

The emp could work, the EM/EA stalker could work. I have an Elec/EA and it basically teaches you to play stupidly defensive as you pretty much have no secondary what so ever, especially against psi blasters. If you can learn to AS and get away on an EA stalker, playing a WP stalker will be a cake walk.
As for toons to look into building, a Mind/Fire or Earth/Fire Dom can be nice. Since you don't want a Psi/EM a Fire or Sonic can work just as well. Especially in zones.
I've heard PB's can do alright but I've never seen a decent one who would actually get some kills. They might be out there, just never seen them do well.
As for what Galactor said about trying them all out, don't waste your time. People have already done that for you and other posters have let you know what can be decent and what to just avoid.

Given the advice I've gotten at this point I'm going to resort to making a new toon. I'm hesitant to make a psi/em because psi is relatively new to blasters and I'm worried the devs will get mad about how good it is and nerf it, thus making all the time I put into it a waste. I'd be willing to try anything else that works well. Thanks to all the people who've offered advice so far.

The only thing I can add is that Psi/Em is not the best "zone" blaster. Its the best Arena blaster. If you are going for zones, Fire or Sonic/EM work really well and I don't think you have much to worry about in the way of nerfs on either of those.

That kin/fire scrapper might be good to steal some kills, but don't expect it to last long in RV unless you phase out at the first sign of danger.

I've spent some time thinking about it and sifting through the forums and I think I'll go with an elec/wp stalker since they sound fun and relatively simple to use (thus being better for someone new to pvp) and people agree that they're good toons. Thanks for the advice everyone.

From what you listed for level 50's, your dark/rad fender and EM/EA stalker are what I think would be pretty solid. I'd even say an ice/ice blaster built with lots of +recharge time from IOs would be really good. Ice is quick and you can throw out three attacks by the time some toons get off one. I've seen some pretty tough peacebringers out there too.
Out of the non-50's nrg/kin corr or kin/fire scrapper could be made into good pvp toons. Just my two cents
