There's nothing really to critique. Your build is solid.
Building for defense is seriously not required on your Dom if everything is Held or Confused. With your recharge level, you should always have Seeds, Vines, or Creepers as an opener. Bulbasaur can help you split aggro.
To me, you really aren't getting a lot of "Bang for your Buck" with Melt Armor. The numbers are pretty bad in the Epics. I'd consider ditching it for either Fire Ball (more AoE goodness) or Incinerate (More close range damage).
Otherwise, you really don't need anything else.

Im only 41. I have mine planned for a ton of rech. Im definately getting Rain and Fireball. Im thinking about not even getting the pet and going Leadership and Tough/Weave for Defense. Hopefully with the rech i can spam Roots, Creepers, Rain, Fireball, Combustion. We'll see.
I'd consider swapping to Ice Mastery for the following reasons:
Hibernate: Helps deal with the aggro and you could conceivably deal with Alpha Strikes. Also the +Defense in Frozen Armor would be helpful for you.
Sleet + Ice Storm are fantastic for both debuff and damage.
I would imagine an IO'd Plant/Fire/Ice Dominator would be a damage dealing, de-buffing machine. But if you're happy with what you have, theres no real compelling reason to change power pools. This build is just fine as is.
My level 50 Dominators:
Madame Mindbender 50 Mind/Energy
Fly Agaric 50 Plant/Thorn
Nate Nitro 50 Fire/Psi
Overall good build, just a few comments.
Strangler:
With domination and other acc bonuses, I'd switch out the Lockdown Acc/Hold for a Devastation: Chance for hold.
Vines could use a Lockdown proc
Stamina could use a Performance proc
Fly Trap I've found useless on my Plant/Fire dom, horrible damage and AI
Maneuvers, Assault, Weave, Tough, Melt Armor, are wasted slots IMO
This is my build, I'm quite happy with its performance. Its great control, good damage, survivable.

As much as I'd like to agree, Adrian does a wonderful job taking out those 2 or 3 guys that you just have to ignore when positioning yourself for maximum Seeds coverage. IMO, it's worth taking and slotting for useful bonuses (Like Expedient Reinforcement) but I wouldn't expect it to be anything more than take on and finish off the occasional stragglers, nor would I consider it a "must 6 slot" power.

Agreed. The proc is starts off good and only gets better as you get +End bonuses. Also remember that Stamina and the rest of the Fitness pool are going inherent "soon" so you'll have 3 more power choices and another Pool available at some point. (Concealment for 3 more LotG +Recharge IO's, yes please!)

When I get in trouble on my Plant/Fire, its easier to pop PFF and hit aidself. I also run mostly in speed TF teams with this toon. A pet would be a waste of a power since he can't keep up with the group and live.

I seem to aggro a good bit and take some damage, so I was thinking about building some Defense into my plant/fire. I have the money for the purples, what do you think?
I tend to not use Consume, Insinerate or Combustion all that often so I past them up in favor of the Fighting Pool... any other suggestions to help out?
