Pocket D VIP Pass and Alignment reset?

Hi everyone.

Just got GR and made my brute a rogue and took him blueside. I get that my team search window only shows red zones, the Oro portal only takes me to red zones, etc. I figure I need to go full hero for those to change.

But when I activated the VIP Pass power, a window pops up warning me that activating the power will revert me to my "native alignment". I thought it meant I was going to be made a villain again, so I cancelled and went to Pocket D via KR, didn't feel like redoing 10 tips and a morality mission again.

So, is this working as intended, or a bug? Did anyone click OK and get their alignment reset to the original?

Thanks in advance.

That message is weird. It doesn't actually change your alignment, but if you had any Tips that dropped while you were in your native area (Rogue Isles in your case) before you moved to the other side (Paragon City for you), those Tips will be back in your Tips window, and any Tips you earned will be gone.

I had earned 3 Tips in Paragon on my Scrapper after she became a Vigilante. I took her to the Rogue Isles, and they were gone. At one point, I used the PDTP, and got that message. I went to PD anyway, and I was still a Vigilante, but those three Tips I had earned while in Paragon were back. As soon as I exited to the Isles, they were gone again, and so were the Tips I'd picked up in the Isles. Had to get three new ones.

So, as far as I can tell, it's perfectly safe to use the Pocket D VIP TP power. If it really reset your alignment, that would be quite an exploit.

Yep, the message is flat-out wrong. Any crossing over to the other side zones will remove tips and active missions but you can just set them again after you get back.

As far as I have been able to find, nothing will revert your alignment. Maybe it did in the early planning stages for GR and that's where the incorrect message comes from.

The message is weird, but accurate. Basically, it means that you're switching out of tourist mode, and is warning you that any missions you have from your non-native side will be abandoned.

Just walking out the hero side will give your tourist status back, though you'll have to reselect the missions that were abandoned.
