New Scrapper

Due to real life issues, I solo alot. So I'm bouncing around an idea to create a new scrapper. I would be playing this scrapper mostly solo with occasional teaming.

I was thinking of EM/EA, anyone know of this combo is good? Of course I'm open to any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

You mean Elec/elec? Scrappers don't get Energy Melee and Energy Armor.

I just started from a 5 year hiatus, I have only played a F/F Scrapper and a Katana/WP scrapper for any amount of time. F/F is no 33 and KT/WP is 16.

I have spent dozens of hours reading guides, and have tried about a dozen scrapper combination to at least level 6.

The most fun so far is F/F, but he is squishy and will die. KT/WP is 2nd best, and a lot more survivable but still kills things very quickly.

I will get both of these to lvl 50, one for farming, and the other when I need my survivability.

Elec/Elec is on par to F/F and dies about as much. In short if you want to die less, Take WP, Regen, Shield, or SR to die less.

I will say that any scrapper combination can be solo'd, in fact the way COH is designed now, any AT can solo. Some can do it better then others.

Yes, I meant Electrical Melee/Electric Armor.

My elec/elec was an awesome ride to 50.

Thunderstrike and Lightning Rod are your best friends, because they do knockdown, and lots of it.

Energize, energize, energize. Love it, live it, get it perma if you can.

ST is a little lacking, but that is easily fixed by the awesome addition of Air Superiority as soon as you can get it. Relible ST damage and a good knockdown to complement all your others.

Elec/Elec is MUCH more durable than a fire/fire due to all the knockdown at the start of the fight and all the end drain at the end.

TAKE THE DAMAGE AURA. I recommend it right after you get energize.

It is a great ride, you're gonna have fun.

Even as much as I burn through alts, level 6 is so horribly unfair to judge a build on. Level 22-26/27 is a good target range.

I found that I had fun levelling mine, but got frustrated with it after a while. The low single-target damage is really annoying. By contrast, fire/fire has been much more satisfying. The knockdown is easily fixed with base enhancement stations at low level, and a -kb IO or acrobatics.

elec/elec is fun, but I have enjoyed fire/fire more.

That said if you're soloing everything anyway, why not claws/willpower?

I can be found, outside of paragon city here.
Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.
