Phalanx Fighting grants YOU 3.8% defense, UNENHANCEABLE. It also buffs the defense of nearby party members (8 feet), and that's the part that's enhanceable. The self buff is not. That's why you're noticing no additional defense from enhancements.
Edit: No, as others say, Grant Cover is the one that buffs party members. Phalanx Fighting works as others have stated.

I don't think that's how it works. As I understand it, there is a base unenhanceable portion and then an extra enhanceable part you get the more allies that are around you - but both parts affect you. Phalanx does nothing for your party members.

wait so do you count as a nearby ally for phalanx fighting? or do you get no benefit until another ally comes near.
Do pets count as allies?

So long Brutes, Tanks, Trolls, corrs, stalks, defs, scraps,blasts,doms and other weak ATs because FM/Shield scrap is the true master race. ok I still like MMs, but srsly. My FM/Shield made my wildest dreams come true anyway what I want to ask is does slotting Phalanx Fighting do anything? I slotted it up with +def and I don't think it does anyhting, is that a bug? |
