Uncompletable 40+ Hero Morality Mission?

Apparently I've got to turn myself in to the Police, but there are no police to turn myself into - just a bunch of Malta, no named bosses, no glowies or zowies...?

Is it time for the dance of joy yet?

There should be a police captain hostage somewheres... free him to 'turn yourself in'. kind of annoying to find, but atleast it's not a kill all.

Last time I did that mission, the office map had stairs on each floor. The chief was next to some of those stairs.

the last cop is a pain I know. I finally found him slightly behind an open door on the ledge in the last part of the hallway. not bugged though, keep tryin'.

There's a police hostage, usually very close to the front of the map. If you get the typical office map he'll usually be either in the "penthouse office" up the stairs from the entrance or on a ledge to the right of there.

Free the cop and you'll get an ambush of KoA and Silent Blade. Kill Silent Blade and then talk to her when she rezzes and you'll get an ambush of your doppleganger. Kill your doppleganger, again talk to him when he rezzes and get your merit.

If the first main room of the map is the large one with the two "bridges" and the columns and the "balcony" in the back, there's a room I constantly forget about where the guy seems to spawn most of the time for me. From the entrance, stay on the first floor and go to the right. There's a door on the right wall leading into a smaller office/cubicle space. Those sneaky Malta like to hide their hostage in one of the cubicles there.

Done this several times now. It appears the map is completely random and so is the location of the cop you need to rescue. However, it appears the cop always spawns in the "front" of the map, meaning usually on the first floor of whatever map you happen to get. Depending on the map it can take some searching in cubby holes, nooks and little rooms where you would normally not go.

If you cannot find him just reset the map., I have had to do it a few times to find the cop. Same problem with the "destroy the weapons" one after you talk to the stealthed guy. Weapons dont spawn, so I reset it and the 3rd time they did.

This is probably where my obsession with clearing every spot of grey from the map comes in handy. I had no problem with it.

Previous posts are right on the sequence of events, though. It's basically a sequence of "talk to NPCs" clickies.

Does anyone know what Silent Blade was talking about you killing a police officer? I got the impression it was in one of the tip missions leading up to it. You say you left him alive, and someone else must have come along afterwards, but I couldn't remember the details.

I suppose she could refer to the cop you rescue, but since he triggers the ambush it seems to all take place too fast to match the story. Plus, I figure that was the reason for the warrant for your arrest in the first place.

He's usually in the first big room for me on the first floor.

I've seen this come up bugged before. Abandon it and get the tip again.

I did that one this weekend. He was in plain sight on a balcony in the very first room. Guess I got lucky.

I still don't exactly know what happened at the end. I came out very confused. Not so confused I didn't sweep the rest of the office for Malta, but still...

It appears to me that Silent Blade is speaking about another cop that was killed and further in on the map... of course if you search the entire map you won't find him.

It makes complete sense since someone else apparently got there before you to turn themself in and apparently already did so and you are the evil one...

But it can be confusing, especially the end. I though I had to prove my innocence somehow but didn't see where I did so.

So far in maybe 20 runs the cop has always been in the first or at most second room right at the front of the map. Sometimes he's hiding in a corner somewhere but he's always right at the front of the first floor.

Now that I've said that watch my next run put him at the back of the third floor.

Right, that is how I understand things but after the clone surrenders, or at least stops fighting me, things get fuzzy.

My gut feeling is that Silent Blade assassinated the clone to complete her contract but that doesn't sit right with me if I don't have a chance to react to it or do something. I feel like I'm missing something and I'm not sure running it a second time would clear it up. What it needs is a final clue or some reference to it in the exit dialog because I guess I'm just too dense to get it as it is played out.
