Buying EU GR but have NA account
This is a persistent headache for me. I understand why the NCsoft store autodetects your region, but the listing of products is simply inconsistent.
I have a NA account, but also live in the EU. I've had similar problems...the option to buy North American versions simply does not appear on the website for many products, though it's there for other stuff (like older game editions). This makes little sense to me because the option to buy NA versions was definitely present for everything in the past, and only changed after the website revamp.
Anyway. I don't know about it autodetecting your account. These are my suggestions:
Previously, I've been able to buy what I needed by getting friends in the US to give me the exact URL for the NA-version purchase page (ie. the https://secure.ncsoft.com path). I logged in to my account, then plugged in the exact URL for the NA-version. This worked before. I will attempt this again later in the week for the GR item pack and possibly the party booster to see if it still works.
Also, I understand that when you get a morality tip drop in game, you get a popup saying that the Going Rogue expansion is required to play this mission...and a button to buy Going Rogue, based on the card you have on file with NCsoft for subscriptions and services like server transfers. Obviously I haven't tried it myself, but apparently it is very reliable.
It's worth noting that the EU store does give us the option to buy the American version of the Going Rogue Complete Collection. That works fine. If you're willing to pay a little bit extra for that version, it's available without needing to jump through any hoops.
What we DON'T have is the option to buy just the regular NA version of Going Rogue, or the Complete Collection item pack separately...and that still vexes me. But the NA Complete Collection should be available as an option to your SGmate. It is for me.

The Echo, Arc ID 1688 (5mish, easy, drama)
The Audition, Arc ID 221240 (6 mish, complex mech, comedy)
Storming Citadel, Arc ID 379488 (lowbie, 1mish, 10-min timed)
I do that as standard, it unfortunately has no effect on the store.

Well here is the link to the US version:
CoH GR Complete Collection (item_id=209) [European version is 211]
For just the expansion, change the item_id in the URL to 205. Item Pack is 213.
If worse comes to worse, maybe you can wire some money to somebody you trust in the states to buy you a copy locally and e-mail you the code. lol
I hope you (and/or your friend) gets it worked out.

The regular edition is just an upgrade, and not worth it now that the game is released (it was purely for the early-access pre-purchase bonuses). It does not give the free month, it cannot be used to start a new account, and lacks the bonus pack.
Free month + bonus pack = 22 US$ in value, so you save about $12 anyway going via the CCE (or even just 5 if you were not interested in the bonus pack).

I'm an EUer, but I escaped the dead EU servers and migrated to the NA servers. Since doing so it's been annoyingly tough to get booster packs for my NA account, since codes are no longer allowed and the 'US version also available' link only exists under a select few items. To get around this painfully poor site design (or deliberate attempt to prevent an exodus from the dead EU servers) I use the following method:
1) Find the NCSoft store link on your browser of choice and copy the URL in the address bar
2) Enter copied URL into AmericanProxy (Google it)
3) Guide to the desired item on AmericanProxy and copy the URL from the URL input bar on the proxy engine -- not the URL in the address bar, that's encoded
4) Exit AmericanProxy and input the copied URL into your address bar to receive the NA page -- This step is VITAL: using a proxy, VPN or any other shared network to process secure information is EXTREMELY unsafe as anyone with a malicious intent and modicum of network security knowledge can intercept your data. You MUST process the payment through your normal browser, not AmericanProxy.
5) Process your payment, remember to check that your card details reflect your genuine card country of origin as by default it'll be set to The United States of America. Changing your details to the correct values (e.g. UK, Germany or France) will not prevent you from retrieving the US store item.
6) Apply to your account. Even though the screen doesn't say so, the code will apply to your NA account
7) Hope and pray that the NCSoft marketing department will revert to allowing us to gift codes and access non-local products.
Hope this helped someone out there!
Easier way : the item number of an item in the NCSoft store is two higher for the EU version.
Example :
I click on the GR Item pack :
https://secure.ncsoft.com/cgi-bin/St...em&item_id=213
is the URL - this is the NA version. To buy the EU version, I just change that 213 at the end to 215.

Mutant booster EU: id=200
id=202 item not found.
Using the above posted AmericanProxy method reveals that the id=197.
Hi,
My SG-mate is trying to buy GR. She has an NA account, as do I, but we live in Europe.
The NCSoft store is detecting her locale and offering her only the EU versio of GR.
If she buys it as a digital DL, will her NA account be recognised as I believe the micro-purchase packs are now?
