Toons you've kicked yourself for deleting

I kinda miss my Fire/Shield Scrapper I deleted.

It was a mixed bag as I deleted it thinking that I'd never be able to IO it out. It ate End like a starving monkey in a field of banana trees.

Now, I actually would be able to do what I needed to "trick" him out.

Not totally Sad Panda about it, but I'd say Sad Koala instead.

I deleted my first villain, Badger Woman, when villains got their own look for Invuln. She was meant to be very silly, with the rainbow of Invuln and the pink pom-poms of Energy Melee. When they made the change, I hated that she looked like she'd eaten a Dark Armor scrapper. I regret deleting her now that we have color customisation.

I also regret deleting my second villain, Necrodancer. She was a ridiculously powerful Necro/Poison whom I didn't play very often. I felt bad sitting on such a good name, so I deleted her to free it. Now I want to play her again.

She was a level 40 Broadsword/Invulnerable and not a day goes by that i don't miss her!

Good for you for getting out of there. I've been in a similar situation and I know how hard it can be to leave.

My lvl 26 TA/Archery Defender. He was one of my favorites.

I deleted a sword scrapper named Arabian Knight because the sword didn't really go with his theme, a bedouin-type mystic swordsman. Right afterward, dual blades came out with all those cool Egyptian weapons. Alas, it was too late to re-roll him; someone had snapped up the name.

I regretted deleting my mind/psi dom who was in her mid twenties. I was getting frustrated with her damage, as this was back when psi had VERY anemic damage before Psi Shockwave.

In her place I made a mind/thorns character instead, but with all the recent buffs to doms I think it would have been so much more awesome for me to have my mind/psi again.

I delete characters every now and then but still missing my first ever character in game. He was a FF/Psi defender named Knightly Defender(which I get my global name). At level 32 I deleted him even my friends said I would regret that... which I did and still doing.

I tried to re-roll him many times. Maybe 10 or so but as they say, you can never go back home. There is always something missing in him. I still have idea of re-rolling him and keeping a build for him on Mids... maybe someday I will do that but depending on my earlier experiences probably I can't.

My first character ever, Rad/rad def. The name didn't fit at all, and the build reeked of a first time player. I moved on to a new server and just left it there for the longest time. I finally considered the server dead to me and deleted it knowing I would never go back and actually play the build. I eventually did go back to the server and I rerolled it and got lucky with the name Warning Label. It might be the only time I stick to my "Never make another defender" vow. It was suppose to be my D3 since that was the last thing I really wanted for the longest time. *sigh*

Matterhorn, my Earth/storm. I rerolled it on a different server and got it to 50, but needed a different name and the name on the old server was taken.

Invul/ss tank for no other reason than the look and backstory of the character. He is a nod to blaxploitation movies. He is a super tall skinny guy who wanted to the biggest and baddest thing around. He eventually got the super powers through scientific experiments, but he looks exactly the same much to his dismay.

Highest I have deleted would be 30, but I just couldn't get into Stone/stone tanks, so there's no issue there. The only other favorite that got deleted would be my Storm/dark defender, but that got rerolled as well.

I've only deleted three toons since I started playing this game... and two of those were later re-made with slightly different power combinations or ATs, so I guess I have trouble letting go.

The original Kephren was a Sonic blaster and was deleted at around lvl 20... the current version is a lvl 31 Sonic/Sonic Defender. She's definitely a keeper.

My first version of Ke'khali was yet another DB/WP scrap. I moved her from Liberty to Virtue at around lvl 45, and tried building a second version of her on Lib as a DB/Dark scrap. I toughed out getting that one to 38 before I finally said to hell with it. I *really* didn't like the way that Dark version played, so to the bin she went. The original one I'd moved to Virtue is still around, and I eventually went back and got her to 50.

The last casualty was Fluffbunny, my first Peacebringer. I tried to go multi-form and just ended up hating everything about her. I deleted that one at 15 or 16 and didn't touch another Kheld untl I started Mist about a month ago. He's human-form only and I'm a lot more comfortable with the way he plays... Unlike Fluff, he's here to stay.

I've deleted a few toons, only to reroll them later...

But the one I regret rerolling was Magical Warrior Luna/Warrior Mage Luna-

The first one was a electric/electric blaster...but I messed up somewhere about lvl 45-something about being told that putting enhancements slots on Ninja Run would make her faster...between that and the fact that I had aged her from 9 to about 15 for someone else's SG, I just got frustrated and decided to reroll her, instead of waiting or going for a respec trial.

Worst mistake I ever made! If I had it to do over, I would never, ever have deleted her and tried to reroll her as a kin/energy defender..or kin/anything...It was a bad enough experience that I won't even touch the kin power set now....

Recently deleted the Warrior Mage variant and went with 9 year old Pink Pika-and yes, she is an electric/electric blaster..and this one is NOT getting rerolled again!

Just FYI, deleted characters can be recovered up to 6 months after the deletion date by submitting a help ticket. I've done it several times

I also regret deleting my original Ice/Electric Blaster. I have another that I really enjoy playing, but the original's name was better. The original was named Hypothermic Shock. I actually wasn't that surprised when I went to reroll him and the name was taken.

So, I named the new one Snowstrike......still miss the old one though.

Actually, if you know the date (and it hasn't been an absurdly long time) and time of deletion, they will restore characters for you. One of my friends quit the game several months ago. She said it was a permenant deal so before leaving, she deleted every single toon that she had. Some of those characters had billions in IO's sunk into them.

She came back over two months later. 80% of her characters were un-deleted, but there were a few that had the data too garbled, those toons were lost.

But it can be done.

As for me...I don't think I've ever deleted a toon I regret. I *never* delete anything past level 15. I just can't do it. I've deleted a few 20 somethings before, but those were PLed and I just found them stale and boring...not to mention I had no idea how to play them correctly.
